A morality play ...

When you ask a question like that, you are always just going to get people's opinions defeats the purpose of the question!

If you want to know the truth, you must seek somebody who was there. The people in Jesus' time knew the truth. You can read about it in the book of Acts (which tells the story of what happened after Jesus was in Heaven). You can read about others that asked the very same question, unsure of what they just saw. You can read the historical evidence provided to them. You can read about their response. That would be a much better place to find the answer to this question!

Also, if you believe in God, you might want to ask Him! If not, you will probably find it very difficult to believe in His son, whether it is truth or not.

Many of the people who answered your question have obviously already done the research and have found it to be true. I hope you do the same research and are earnestly seeking because the truth is undeniable. I pray your efforts are fruitful!

Be blessed!

You need to be more specific. Do you mean did Jesus exist or were his teachings truth or lie?? I think Jesus existed and did many good deeds. He was a great person much like Ghandi, Martin L. King Jr., Mother Theresa but I believe he was just a man, no more-no less.

Truth.

Truth. Even if people find proofs that Jesus doesn't exist, it really depends on the person. I think Jesus really exists because I'm alive and I live in a world where no man can create. People sometimes doubt the existence of Jesus because they think their lives aren't "blessed" enough.

I think there is enough evidence that a historical figure named Jesus existed about two thousand years ago. Who he actually was, and what he actually did is open to speculation. If you're a believer, you will take the bible version of his life as gospel. If you're not, then you can choose to believe he was just about anyone.
