As said by people long before me: The cause of homosexuality is not by God. It is by human. Till now, no evidence could be find to support that homo people are born that way. This is one living proof that being a homosexual is a human's choice, not God. We are not built that way. Those scientists would try everything to find the homosexual gene. If they should ever find it, I would pray that it's not true. Those homosexuals who claims that they are born this way are uncivilised. They can't spare a moment to use their brains to think! It's just because they succumb into temptations. Oh God. Being gay is a person's choice. It's a fiction. It's not true.

actually a LOT of science has backed this up.. research your questions before you ask them.. also, there didn't seem to be as many gay people decades or even centuries ago because people were not as accepting of homosexuality so gay people would hide the fact that they were. Can I suggest before you come on Yahoo Answers trying to start a debate you research a little bit and ask an educated question?
~*~*~*~* As for everyone saying being gay is an option or choice-- could you choose to be gay?? Could you just wake up today and say "I'm no longer attracted to the opposite gender.. I'm going to be attracted to my own for a while"?? Why would people CHOOSE a lifestyle that condemns them to be looked down upon and SPIT ON by society?? Think about it, people..
~*~*~*~* HOMOSEXUALITY DOES OCCUR IN THE ANIMAL WORLD.. once again RESEARCH before you open your mouth.

It has nothing to do with genes, but the timing and amount of testosterone present during when the fetus is developing. Lower testosternone levels causes a female brain to develop. As you may or may not know, male and female brains are very different.
But if it's visual physical proof you're looking for, then compare the length of the index finger to the ring finger. In women there is not much difference, but in ment the difference is significant. You will see that gay men measure up fairly closely to straight women in this regard.

Because they need some kind of scapegoat to describe the nonsense that is being Gay... Not a homophobe but still I don't think it's right and "only in america" can they have thier Gay rights... like it is a disability so they need to be catered to. Every other country they exist too but not a open and demanding attention... If you demand extra attention and rights... then expect to become waffled at the bottom of a boot... not advocating anyone.. just if you expect extra attention you can assure you will find it just hope it isn't negative attention...

I knew at an truly youthful age, surely, I not in any respect went by skill of the immediately section some gays go by skill of. I grew up understanding I wasn't a classic boy, I even used to imagine i turned right into a woman in a guy's body. I even become allowed by using instructors to have health center with women and use female centers. i do not ignore that sounds bizarre, yet I basically am your complication-free girly female who occurs to be a "boy", lol.

I'm sorry, but you are assuming that being born gay is a fact; which, it isn't a fact at all. Society would love for us to believe that lie so that their sinful lives can be explained, rationalized, and condoned. Don't fall for that lie! Being gay is a decision.

Many gays and lesbians can remember way back in their childhood having crushes and being physically and mentally attracted to someone of the same sex. What causes this? How can a child experiencing a first crush actively CHOOSE? Think back to your very first crush or attraction did you CHOOSE to be attracted to that person or did it just happen?
Pheromones which is what influences the hormone levels in people has a whole lot to do with whom you are attracted to whether they be of the opposite or the same sex. James V Kohl is considered one of the world's foremost experts on pheromones. Here's an excerpt from one of his articles:
"Components of natural body odor (e.g., scent) vary with genetic sex and with sexual orientation. Heterosexual males and females as well as homosexual males and females produce different scents. Heterosexuals prefer the scent of the opposite sex; homosexuals prefer the scent of the same sex. These preferences begin to develop at birth due to the unconscious affect of pheromones on hormones and behavior.
Once a child is born, sex differences in the sense of smell determine how the child responds to pheromones. If the child is genetically predisposed to respond in a typical manner to pheromones of the opposite sex, that child will develop a preference for the pheromones of the opposite sex. If the child does not respond in a typical manner to the pheromones of the opposite sex, that child will be predisposed to develop a preference for the pheromones of the same sex.
All mammalian sexual behavior, including human sexual behavior is driven by pheromones. Since only humans make conscious associations (e.g., think), men and women are likely to think that their sexual behavior is driven by visually perceived physical attraction. This erroneous thinking defies biological logic, and consistently fails to offer an explanation for many aspects of human sexual behavior (e.g., paraphilias, and homosexuality).[9]"

The reality is that there is evidence on both sides----nature and nurture.
Why is it such a big deal if people choose to be that way anyways? I mean it is kind of funny that the whole 'pro-choice' movement is all for choice---but they don't want people to CHOOSE to be gay.
Just wierd!
