I think that's fine. Our son, who is also three, went through a "nudist" stage. We just went with it, he's really headstrong so sometimes we give in to his unusual demands so he feels like he has some degree of independance. We always kept a long t-shirt on hand in case we had a surprise visitor, just in case we had to quickly cover him up (we never had to use it).
Just make sure you vacuum frequently, probably more frequently than usual. Our son sometimes stepped on things inside our house and hurt his foot. We have two toddlers and sometimes they break things without us knowing, and leave pieces of it on the floor. During my son's naked stage I vacuumed the living room quickly every evening to make sure he didn't step on any tiny shards of things that I couldn't see.

I think that as long as you don't have any sharp objects that could hurt him as he runs and plays it's fine. Our son ran around for a while naked while we were potty training and it helped a lot. But as he got older we had to let him know that he had to start wearing underwear around the main part of the house, because his sister started to have company over. He was fine with it and now that he's four he's developing his own sense of modesty. The only little mishap he did have was bumping his scrotum on some building blocks. After that he always double checked before he flopped his little butt down anywhere. Lol. Be extra careful around the oven or floor heating vents. A friends little girl burnt her bottom sitting on one before.

My daughter ran around the house naked at that age for more than a year. As soon as we walked into the house off came her clothes! She's a pre-teen now and is mentally healthy with a great level of self- esteem. Unlike a lot of her friends at this age she loves her body! She views her imperfections (like little soup bowl ears) as making her unique. I highly recommend going with what feels right for your family and your son! Just be aware of who is around even in your own home, can't be too careful these days.

i see no problem - my son who is 5 now loves to be naked. but he is dressed if we have company or he is outside. as far as health and safety - there is NOTHING to worry about.

It should be OK, as long as you don't have alot of sharp objects he could run into, crazy nudist hating pets, etc...

I don't see a reason why he shouldn't run around naked unless there are some unforseen hazards in or to your house?
ie: is he potty trained? might his willy get caught in something??
