Do unborn babies dream? If so, can the mother experience the dream? Why?

Yes I think they can dream. People say that they don't but a baby who is only a day old can have very vivid dreams where you can visually see them smiling or laughing, even frowning at times, how much more expirience does a 1 day old have than an unborn baby? They have seen not much more than they did when they were in the womb and yet they can dream, so I do believe that as soon as their brains are developed because they have human emotions that they dreams just as you and I. (P.S. A blind person can see images in a dream that they may have never been able to expirience can they not?) Now about the mother's sharing the dreams, I'm not sure about that. I don't believe that I have ever had that pleasure even though my son & I are very bonded, but I suppose it may be possible.

Yes they do, it is well documented. The mother does not share in these dreams (in any normal way) because there is no neural link through the umbilical cord. Many things are hooked up between mother and child in the womb but the brain isn't one of them.

Then again .. mom's and children often seem to have a non-physical "psychic" link that is difficult to explain.

I have always believed that my unborn babies dreamt. I just 'felt' this way when I was carrying; call it a mother's intuition...as far as I know though, I don't think I ever shared or experienced my children's dereams.
