Ok....this might seem overly simplistic....but here goes.

I have read that there is a definite link in femal hormones and lupus. I have lupus. I, also, need to have a hysterectomy....but, have been putting it off.

My question is.....could having the hysterectomy possibly help with the lupus. Because of the reduction/change in the hormones?

Just a thought....

I can't see any mention of any link between hormones and lupus mentioned on these pages: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/l/lupus/symptoms.htm

Lupus is a disease of the immune system and therefore has many symptoms shared with other diseases. Diagnosis is not straightforward so you should be sure that you have been diagnosed correctly (you maybe are but it was worth pointing out).
