here's what I believe about ghosts.
I've seen what would be typically described as a ghost, and so has my father. There is no speculation as to whether the 'ghosts' were real, because it's for sure. To explain why would take very long, so I'll condense. I believe that ghosts are like imprints of the personality that they represent. I believe that certain events or emotions, when strong enough, leave a kind of imprint on their surroundings- like if you go into a room where something terrible happened, you immediately feel scared, or a room where a severely depressed person lived, you feel depressed. Same with ghosts. A ghost is like a recording of that person, that's why many times, when a ghost is spotted by many people, it will repeat the same actions or catchphrases. It's not a very interactive thing, although sometimes they can talk to you, (it won't be a very involved conversation, once again it will almost be 'catchphrases' of that person from when they were alive) it's not a thinking thing. I also, as a religious person, believe sometimes certain spirits are sent to people for a reason- my little cousin (he was 4) once stood in front of a picture of his (anf my) grandfather, who died almost 11 years before he was born, and his dad came up behind him and said "That's your grandad." My cousin said "I know. I saw him last night. He sat by me on my bed and told me not to be scared." He also said that he had been wearing white clothes. I don't believe that a kid that young would either have the capacity or imagination to make something like that up.
phew. Done;-)

I believe in ghosts and I think I have seen one. I was really scared of ghosts at the time and I saw a girl in the corner of my room she had long hair and was dressed in a dress I do not remember the colour. We have a picture in our hall of a girl and I'm pretty sure it's her although we are not sure who she is. We do know she's on my dads side of the family. Since seeing her I have not seen her again although I have heard noises coming from our attic and a baby crying. Nobody else has heard these other things although my room used to be my Mum and dads before we had our house extended and when I told my cousin about the ghost she said my Mum had seen something in that room too. Has anyone else had this????

I've had some strange things happen to me, but as far as this subject goes, I absolutely believe in ghosts. There's no question in my mind. Ghost sightings and reports of strange phenomena have been around since the beginning of time. Perfectly sane, stable people (without any ulterior motives) have given detailed accounts of things that they can't explain. Sure, some of them might have been hallucinating, drunk, sleeping, stoned, or what have you... and maybe a lot of them were just grabbing for attention and thought they could make a buck... but are they ALL illegitimate? Seems unlikely to me. I definitely think there's something to the ghost phenomena.

I don't particuarly like the word ghost it seems to lend itself to endless imagination when trying to define it.
I have lived in a home where there was a most definant presence that lurked about. Items would be moved and often hit the floor. There never was a visual manisfestaion but you didn't need one to know something was there. We never experienced the "hollywood" affects that so many claim. The fear we felt was our own and in time it became apparant that no harm was going to come to us. It's funny, we almost felt in the way.

I believe in ghosts. Sometimes they appear as full body apparitions, but thats pretty uncommon. That smell might be something in you house. If you have a basement you should go down there and see if the scent is stronger, if so, try to see where it's coming from, and if you find nothin then it's just...creepy.....

Yes. Every house I lived in as a child had ghost. It is just unsettled spirits. My mom says to ask them what they want and they will go away. My mom sees them more than any of the rest of us. I have woke up with my bed shaking. I know I wasn't imagining it because my best friend had spent the night with me as a child and we both felt it and saw it. They are real, don't be afraid just ask them what they want.

The Bible say to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I go however believe that here on Earth 1/3 of the angelic host that were cast out of heaven are among us. They are malevolent spirits at can and do cause alot of problems.

Ghosts really don't care if you believe in them or not. I've lived in haunted homes, including the house I live in now. Ghosts are real. They're just discarnate spirits who exist on an alternate realm which sometimes overlaps our own, nothing to fear.

No. I don't believe in ghosts as human souls that are hanging around. As a christian, I believe once you die, you leave the earth immediately. However, some possessions and other manifestations could be demon related.
