Go for it. The only time I have heard of a problem with working out too much was a 65 year old trainer that did 2 1 hour workouts everyday 6 days a week. I did several of these workouts with him and they were more intense than anything I have ever done even in Basic training. He had to stop because he started loosing muscle mass. He had a body fat of only 1% at the start of it so it is not likely you will ever have this problem.

It's okay as long as you don't work the same muscles 2 consecutive days. Upper body monday, Lower body Tuesday, Upper body wednesday. Actually you should take a couples of days to just relax. But if you still want to workout ride a bike or run. The cardio will help heal the muscles you worked during the week.

The stairstepper is mainly good for enhancing stamina. It helps at the beginning with the leg and calf muscles, but you have probably maxed out any benefit you got from that.

Except for helping lose weight overall, it is not going to help your butt or hips.

To make progress, you have to increase what you do over time, or you just stay in the same place as far as muscle development. While the butt is a big muscle, unless you want to stand there and do butt-tightening squeezes for increasing amounts of time, you're not going to get much help there.

I find that walking is the best for combating the large butt. I walk 30 mins a day to sort mine out, it does build muscle but does not make it larger just tightert. Dont expect too much of yourself though some of us just have big hips, find a man who loves it like mine does!

If your body does not protest, then it is ok.

I have heard it recommended that you change the workout from day to day - in terms of which muscles you work. One day the upper body, then lower body, then back and forth.

This is supposed to give the muscles a day's rest to recover. It will still help you lose the inches all over.

Are you on a diet that cuts out sugar, natural and added? I understand lower torso and thigh fat may be a symptom of a pre-diabetic syndrome, hyperinsulinemia.

For basic information on hyperinsulinemia, check out www.mayoclinic.com and search for hyperinsulinemia. For basic information on hypoglycemia, check out www.hufa.org.

3 times a week is enough long as you exercise right. Try squats too, both narrow and wide stance and every time you come up squeeze your thighs, glutes and the adductor and abductor muscles with your tummy tucked in and tight. good luck.

Ideal is at least 3X a week for at least 30 mins. Just make sure you have enough rest

if you are talking about weigh training you are probably doing too much. Muscles do not grow when you are working them, they grow afterward, when you are resting them, usually 24 to 48 hours is recommended.

check out www.bodyforlife.com for good info on over-training
