I have to say it really depends on the individual, I think that some 14 yr olds are mature enough to handle driving responsibly. And what you might find as a starteling fact is there are more underage drivers on the road today than you think. As more and more 13-15 yr old girls are able to pass for 16 or older, from a passing glance you can not tell who is 16 and who is not. So in ost cases they are only caught if causing moving violations.
My own mother used to drive her friends into town after school to the local malt shop. She was 12 years old. Her parents knew after the neigbors told them around the 2nd or 3rd time. My mother always replaced the gas she used, and she found out her parents knew about her driving when she turned 45.
Her parents knew that for the age of 12 she acted more adult than some adults. And although she was too young to legally drive, they knew she would be careful, responsible, and safe. And she was.
My mother has only been in two accidents in her life. One was a malfunction wich caused her car to rev up while she was waiting in line at an automated car wash. The other was before being diagnosed with Diabetes passed out wit a blood sugar level of 565.
Both of these were as an adult.
I on the other hand should not have gotten my license until I was 25 because from 16 until 25 I averaged a ticket or accident every 6 months to a year.

A 14 year old is not mature enough to handle the stresses of driving. I believe that the legal limit should be at least 17 b/c there is a lot of responsibility when it comes to driving.

I personally think 16 is too young to be driving. I'm all for raising the age limit to 18 here in the states.

The most effective sixteen yr olds who're allowed to force a automobile are those people who are disabled and feature the documentation to turn out it. I handed my riding experiment in 1992 and also you needed to 17 to get a provisional licence then. My Dad bought his automobile licence within the 1960's and the minimal age again then used to be 17.

There is no debate.... 14 is waaaay to young to even consider driving (except off road with no other vehicles around). I think 16 is kinda iffy too.

The one 16 12 months olds who are allowed to force a vehicle are those who find themselves disabled and have the documentation to prove it. I passed my using scan in 1992 and you had to 17 to get a provisional licence then. My Dad obtained his automobile licence in the 1960's and the minimum age again then was once 17.

There are licensing laws for a reason! Older teenagers have better judgment. Help keep insurance premiums down, wait until you are 25 to drive!LOL
