Car Audio Suggestions?

Question

I want to buy a car stereo to be very loud (drum n bass and trance is the music i like)but i dont want to add a generator in the engine or something like that.So i want a split (fr)and two 6*9 (rear)as speakers and 2 spl subs plus 2-3 amps.If the total watts are 4k-5k
what else should i need?What brand is the best?-there are like 10000.George Greece

Fatty, if you don't even know how to set the clock on your car stereo, you shouldn't be posting in the car audio section. We don't post in the geriatric section.

Now, it isn't possible to run 4-5,000 watts of amplification in a car without adding a 200-240 amp alternator, plus a voltage regulator, plus a battery isolator, plus a battery for each bass amp, plus lots of 0 guage wire. You're looking at around $2,000-2,500 US for just that, not including any speakers or amplifiers.

Kicker makes the best competition car audio subs these days. MTX and JL audio also make very good subs. For amps, I'd go with Kicker or HiFonics, though there are MANY good amps on the market today. Just find the ones that have the features and power you need.

If you like drum n bass, you're gonna need a couple of 8" woofers in their proper box for the mid-bass (kicker has very good ones) because thats where most of the "drum" is, to power them you can use a two chanel amplifier that has at at least 200 watts RMS per chanel. As for the subwoofers, if you want spl then a couple of 15" will do, at about 1000 watts RMS each. For the subwoofer brand you can go with Alpine type X, JL audio w7's, Memphis, KIcker, MTX those are all good.Rememer that you will need to find or build the right box, because no matter how good the subs are, they will sound like crap if you got the wrong box. and for the high's just get a couple of tweeters of your choice.
