I would change The idea that it makes sense that an unconditionally loving God could have so many conditions. Hard to believe most people don't see what a gigantic contridiction this is.

Good question, I guess I would give the unbelievers one more chance to repent before being sentenced to Hell.

Oh and to jenny who put on there about the women be submissive...

Read it a bit more carefully, Jesus was telling the married women to be with their husbands, so that their eyes and hearts wouldn't stray. If you read it from that perspective a whole different meaning will open up to you. Unfortunately this and the verse about women staying silent in church were used to suppress women leadership in the church. The second verse I refer to was instructions to a specific church about the problem it was having with the women in the congregation becoming too overwhelmed with emotion and dancing during the service. It was more for the women to settle down during the sermon and teaching than a shut up order.

I don't think that I would want to change anything about my religion. My "religion" is my belief system.

I think, maybe, what you mean is....would you change any of the doctrines of the church you attend.

My answer to this would be a big YES. I have never found a denomination that I agree with, totally. All churchs have, at least, one thing....that doesn't feel right to me. But, if you are going to be a church goer.....you have to learn to absorb what you find positive, and just let the things that don't hit home with you...go right on by.

The way women were portayed in the Old Testament and have been treated by the Christian church in general. Unfortunately, it is impossible to separate the church completely from the culture in which it exists. So, unfortunately early Christian and Jewish writings reflect the cultures in which they existed.

I would change that there be NO religion.

Religion has caused so much strife in the world. More than any good that has come.

I'm a Christian. There isn't anything that I'd change.. except that more people would find their way to Jesus Christ, and accept him as their Lord and Savior.
I guess it's people that I'd change.. but then am I taking away their free will?

In the Bible, I'd change the part wherein it says "wife be submissive to your husbands blah blah blah...." Plus, I'd add in a part wherein it says, "wife, if you think he's a jerk, divorce is automatic."
