Absolutely! As a classical studies major now going into an MA in global policy study, Latin has made it much easier for me to learn romance languages, especially Italian, which is almost identical (with a few spelling and grammar differences). Latin will make your studies much, much more successful!

From my own experience I can tell you that it's easier to learn Spanish or Italian than Latin. If you already know Latin, it will help you a lot, but if you don't know, don't worry. There's no problem. Spanish and Italian are easy languages!

Probably, because words have latin roots. But you would probably be better off just learning Spanish and Italian first because just knowing Latin won't teach you Spanish and Italian.

Possibly. The dialects are Latin based and similar, but its better just to do an intensive study for each individual language.
