To cut down on my heating bill we are replacing the windows in our house built in 1906. Any ideas on what to do with the old glass and wood frames. I have 9 windows altogether.

If they are in good condition they can be sold as many people are looking for older style windows, doors...
Place an ad or check through e-bay and don't remove them by your self as they can be damaged.The people who are buying them can do that. Its better for you and...cheaper

Most places around the U.S. don't recycle window glass, it ends up in the local landfill. If the frames were painted they may have lead based paint on them and need to be disposed of properly. You may have an architectural salvage company in your city or town, I'd look around and if you find one give them a call

Selling them on eBay is one idea. However, in many cities there are people who buy/sell older home parts. Additionally, some people buy older windows and use them for crafts and decorations. You could run a small ad in the local paper. I think you'll have good luck finding a use for them.

Sell them on ebay. Antique windows are in demand. Especially for rich folks with really old houses.

Make something out of them.
A headboard, a coffee table/end tables. Hang in between rooms, if there is a spot. Gee, I'll take 'em.

They can be sold. Do Not destroy them. I'd bet the ranch they'll sell on Ebay. Ever heard of "Restoration"? Some one needs them.

are they stain glass, if so I could use them for my art deco creations. if u have a lot of time on ur hands u could clean them up & put mirror in them & maybe a shelf under them.
