My friend had the same problem. Really thick hair about shoulder length and she does gymnastics so she would ask me to come over and do her hair the way I do mine. I knew it was going to be a hastle so I brought over a few things. ?Yeah and wow did I find out it was Hard. Anyways back to your problem. Try putting some mousse not gel in your hair when its damp. This tends to give you a little more control. here are a few hairsyles you could try. First use the mousse when your hair is damp. Then put your hair in a high ponytail. Tosstle the ponytail or scrunch it so that its a little bit curly. Shape the hair into a loose bun. make sure iits not tooo tight, It should look like prom hair sort of. Anyways if that doesn't make sense (like i tend to wright like try this) .. Braids. Most people know how to do it and if not I could tell u how to do it. Braids are simple yet great on almost every hair type. I recomend getting some side bangs. Side bangs really give your hair a style of egde. Anyways try these tips and good luck. =]

sounds like it is time for a short cute cut. It will make you feel like a million bucks. No more barrettes and ponytail holders to deal with. Just jump in the shower and wash and wear your hairstyle. Goodluck

bypass to a salon...not a barber. And ask them to furnish you a reduce with shears (scissors) and not in any respect clippers. on line simulators do not take your own hair's texture and density in account, so that they are ineffective for this reason. My advice is to ask for a texturized "messy on real" reduce. Use a wax to kind it piecy so as that curiously modern-day. This seem is reliable for extremely thick hair. in the journey that they texturize it, it is going to skinny it out some and make it a lot less demanding to artwork with. If the stylist looks clueless once you're saying to texturize it, tell them to point reduce it. Or...seem for some photos of cuts on line of what you may like and take them in to the salon with you.

have the hair thinned out without cutting the length off. when you go to the salon, look at the books there and let them know what you'd like to do. They will give you something that will look right for you. Something low maintenance. Good Luck

if you hair is at least 11 inches long, you could have your hair cut and styled but save the hair that is cut off and send it to Locks of Love, they use it to make wigs for children who have cancer and has lost there hair do to medical treatment. My daughter did it, and she felt really good about helping others.

How bout Crimping your hair? Shoulder lengther hair in the crimp style is fun and since your hair is thick it will look extra sexy.

It probably looks beautiful enough down. Maybe you could try getting a perm, just for a different look.
