Both. But if there's only one to choose from, then maybe it's personality.
You don't want a pretty lady who always lies to you and cheats on you as a girlfriend right?? You would rather a ugly person who is faithful and loyal to you right?

a guy will ALWAYS notice looks first. The more mature the guy is, the less this will affect his rationale. Of course, any guy would love to have both, but when it comes down to it, one who no longer wants those fun short flings and begins to search for more will always turn towards personality.
The breakdown:
guys who want love: personality is much more important, looks are a bonus but not required, he will atleast want to be slightly physically attracted.
guys who are thrill seeking: looks are more important. Basically they just want to act out a couple of fantasies by being with that hot girl. After they have grown tired of the lack of connectivity or lack of conversation, they will become a guy who wants love

it should be personality, but you see looks first, then most people go off that. guys go off feelings, if they see a cute female, they are drawn in by that. connecting on a mental level takes a lot longer than physical. and some one with less than average looks gets passed over because a lot of men are too shallow to give the less attractive girls a chance

Guys want sex appeal plain and simple. Be it Craigslist or a dating site, sex appeal wins. And when guys complain of having a slut for a girlfriend, it's karma at its best. That's what you get for choosing looks over a personality. You get what you pay for.

both would be perfect, but a guy will go for the looks first thing-and between those who look good and those who look sexy will he go for the sexy one first---the rest comes much later
