You want to be near familiar surroundings. Try to get away little by little. Carry something with from there. Be it a watch or a backpack.

I am working and staying in Singapore, I was send to USA, Arizona for 2 years by the Airforce. There in the first 6 months I had the same problem.
So what I did was I got myself a hobby. A hobby will occupy your free time and will prevent you from feeling depressed.
Any hobby will do. In my case I tried building model planes. I didn't do a very good job but it sure helped me with the depression of homesickness.
Then also I promised myself that I will visit home once a year and that too helped.

OK How old are you?...and what do you mean "Homesick?"...It sounds more like you don't feel comfortable leaving your home..do you feel confident with yourself?..Is there a reason that when you leave your house that you don't feel comfortable with your surroundings? Are the people you are visiting making you feel comfortable? Look at yourself...perhaps you need to talk with a mental health professional and discuss this situation. I am not saying you have a mental problem but certainly you may with help find out what is causing you to feel this way. Trust me when I say there are many people as yourself who seek help daily to help them to find out why they have the same thoughts and feelings as yourself. I wish you well and success in finding out what is going on.

conquer this by telling youself you have the self confidence to complete this task. What you're experiencing is NOT i repeat NOt homesickness. You're having a panic anxiety attack. There are medications for this. Have your parents take you to the Dr. and get something prescribed. You're setting yourself up at a young age to be home imprisoned.

are you homesick or are you insecure? do you get a secure feeling when you get home? you might be confusing one with the other. do you watch the news on television? if you do , you may wanna quit. news messes with your sense of security in the world. it's one thing to be aware, it's another to be frightened. news sells because it frightens people, if news was for your benefit, it wouldn't have commercials to sell products. find out what compels you to get back home . and work on that.
