is it so hard to imagine one god?

i see so many referances to .. my god , our god , the same god ......
if god has no physical appearance ... no name and adress ... no identifying marks , then how can people say " my god "
is it so hard to believe that one god is the same as the next .. they are all one with different names ?
the only thing that seems to seperate religion to me is the teachings handed down from generation to generation .. some altered some added to ( im not bringing down teachings in any way intentionally here believe me ) because i honestly do love religious teachings and do not doubt that such people existsed but we can only take mans word for the words in religious books ..
the one thing that stands clear to me is that yes there seems to be collective evidence that there is something bigger than us .. and in that collective evidence i trust more than any written word that suggests one faith is better... more accurate ... the true one above all else

seems even in answering this question .. some people cant help but use the " my god " and giving biblical quotes ....
oh well seems it may never happen lol

I am a sinful mortal, yet my ful name is Mirjana, some of my friends call me Mira, my mom calls me Mika, my best friend calls me Coca, my intimate friend calls me Micko... I have so many names and they all refer to me, and I am nothing but a small part of the Supreme.
So, why is it so hard to understand that the Supreme Lord, the One who is Absolute, also has numerous names, all of them describing His divine qualities, all of them referring to ONE same Person?
A consciousness of truly spiritual person is above all religions, and it respects them equally, for all the paths lead to the same direction.

It's not hard at all to imagine only one God. There is only one God and He is amazing!

Deu 4:35 You were shown these things so that you would know that the LORD is God; there is no other besides Him.

No it's not hard because there is only one true God, he has been given many names over the years by man it seems when ever a new religion is formed they think of a new name for God.
For get the books they are written by man, have faith in God, his name does not matter, just have faith.

The expressions you have mentioned (My God, Our God) - they are just words - You use them as a way of expression - When you see an accident, you go my god, when having sex and when you are about to *** you go my god. The same exists in the form of Holy ****, Holy Cow, Jesus F'kn Christ, Fukin hell, etc.

Personally to me, it is a bit hard to believe in a single creator god due to various reasons. I don't think I should list them down here nor I could finish within this century if I start reasoning out - But number 1 in my list would be that the world is unfair - a true god who loves his creation will never make it unfair.

of course all religions refer to the same God! The mystic core of all religions describe the same experience of connection to the infinite. The teachings surrounding this are relevant to the culture/time of each religion. Belief is hoping or wanting something to be true, faith is knowing something to be true. Anyone who has had the peak experience/mystic experience of connection with the infinite is left in no doubt of the truth of this.

Beleif in a higher power means that there is a planet beyond our galaxy that we haven't been able to reach where an alien race maybe billions of years more progressed than us are somehow calling the shots on earth and affecting human evolution. So is it one single alien or a race of aliens like a government affecting life on earth without us being aware. Do they help us win the lottery or save us in car accidents? It is not difficult for me to believe in one God.
I have felt a closeness and oneness with The One God since I was a small child.
I have read hundreds of books on mythologies and folklore and love all the stories and saw the commonalities running through all of them.
Again, for most of my life.
God is One.
I am one with God.
