I have bump on edge of bottom lip it hurts tried to "pop" it just clear fluid came out of it? Not sure to treat it w/acne medication or abreva...?

A zit can have clear liquid in it while the infection is still brewing. Usually the area around it is sensitive and red. Popping a cold sore will probably be more painful, produce clear liquid, and it'll crust over, whereas zits will not.
Leave it alone for a day or two and see what happens. If it's a cold sore, get some OTC numbing gel and keep the skin elastic to keep the crust from ripping. If it's a zit, some sort of puss will form and you'll see it.

I recommend Campho-Phenique. You can buy it over the counter and believe me it really does work. A zit is a pimple and a cold sore is herpes simplex type 2.Try including vitamin c in your food diet, it seems to help me.

This sounds like a cold sore - have you ever had one before? Sometimes a cold sore will only go to this stage & you never know if it's a pimple or a cold sore.
