Basically, if all of us are born into a particular religion and then we go on to defend that religion as being the only true one, would we convert to the religion we are defending now if we had happened to be born into another religion? Isn't it just a conincidence that we happened to be born to parents of a particular religion?

We all will be judged on the same day so, just do the best that you can with the religion that you chose, try to help others on their journeys and don't worry so much.

Well my friend, I am of the belief that Christianity is the only one that over a very long period in the making, let me say, supports itself from start to finish. There are literally 100's of forfilled prohecies, more accurate than any Nostradamas' in history, and more to be forfilled. It is said that the Gospel will reach every human being in some form or another before Judgement Day and I believe that, but whether or not to whom it reaches will have any impact is another thing. Sometimes things have to get pretty bad for some people to realise that they can't do things on their own or by gods other than God. God loves but also disciplines too. People born into families of a different religion will and/or have had the opportunity of 'seeking' and I don't mean by being Bible bashed or being scared into it. I mean that God will move you subtly or by which ever way your nature or personality will best 'see' and sometimes that is not always the way we would like, but nevertheless He is wanting to draw you nearer to Him and not to those that will deceive you out of your promised entitlement. There are religions about that use scare tactics to keep people in line and/or have been known to persecute people for converting to Christianity. Now that's a big deal! I'd be asking myself - why would these people go to their death in the name of Christianity? The answer is because they know through the Word of God that He keeps his promises and came through with every one of them in that Word. And Christians are being persecuted all the time, by their views on laws that diminish God's intentions for His people. His laws are to protect us from sinning and the consequences that go with it. That's a good thing and when you look around and see what man's way has achieved, you see that we are always struggling - one going one way and one the other. A religion that offers the most hands on aid to suffering and is being verbally persecuted daily! This is like the life of Jesus Christ all over again. When I read some of the answers on this site, I can't help but think we are in the Apostacy. I've wandered sorry, but there are other religions that offer re-incarnation, but there's no 'real' proof/evidence. There are some that offer seemingly mild differences, but don't stack up comparitively such as baptisms after death, and may cause spiritual suffering. There are those that offer extras such as barking and clucking supposedly in the name of the Spirit, but I feel that they add to Scripture and again cause 'blindness'. There are many people who have been born unto a family of different religion and have been urged for whatever reason, God abling and they willing, to seek, and that is the key ask of God, to 'seek' in order to 'know' so when you get responses to questions that suggest that 'love' only is a religion, you'll 'know' there's more to it or other responses like Christians are all hypocrites, then you will 'know' that they haven't sought to much of any level about what they are commenting on. These people are only seeing a 'commercial' of a 'commercial' in comparison to what there is to know. No my friend, He's got a reputation to keep and keep it He will as He has right from the beginning. I hope this finds you well.

because most people dont seem to question thier religious beliefs. they ignorantly just accept them because that is what thier parents and grand parents and so on belived. they are complacent or to lazy to think deeply about thier beliefs in god .it is only those who ponder and study and are reasonable in thier thinking that when presented with a more sound religion that they are able to discern that thier previous thoughts of god were wrong. this is a person who has a deep yearning for truth and if there is a god it would be cruel for that god not to direct that person to him..it happens all the time.

Some of us chose our religion. I was born and raised a Baptist and I chose Catholicism for myself. No matter what you raise a child to be that child will one day have to make the choice for himself. He alone must decide if he believes and what he believes. Ones faith should not be a blind unreasoning thing.

Every tribes of different community have their own different ancestor's custom which was being passed on from graveyards, to graveyards, to graveyards on planet earth.
Ghostly modern history of past failures and horrors to remind the community was included as ancestor's custom.
So the new generation will not repeat the same errors of the past descendants on planet earth.
Observe how miscommunication and communication failures with self lack of knowledge created chaos and havoc on planet earth.
When the blind were leading the blind on planet earth.
The human error exposed by our creator on planet earth.
Observe why different community have to follow ancestor custom of failures and horrors of another community on planet earth.
Observe how living human kind all ended up into throwing of pots and pans in bashing one another over the ghostly kitchen's ghost stories on planet earth.

Maybe all the big religions are the one religion, we all believe in one god.

If you don't like your beliefs on what you were raised change, I did.

LOTS OF PEOPLE BELIEVE THIS BECAUSE THAT'S ALL THEY KNOW. THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT WHEN ONE GETS OLDER THAT THEY CHOOSE A RELIGION . OF COURSE THAT WOULD REQUIRE A LITTLE EDUCATION AND AN OPEN MIND.

If God existed and was what bible thumpers claim, there would be one universal religion and it would have been practiced by everyone throughout history.

It's a form of PTSD. Children are told they will be eternally tortured if they dare think differently about god than they are told as children. It's cruel.
