Hypothetically, is it feasible to strap a rope onto the rear bumper of my sorority sister’s car, fasten the other end of the rope onto the frame of my bicycle and allow her to tow me along?

Yes, but don't. At my job, we received a call of a girl that just thought it would be cool to sit on the hood, while being driven around the neighborhood. The driver wasn't going very fast, but when they hit the brakes, her clothing enabled her to slide off quickly, she hit her head on the curb, and she didn't make it. Just goes to show you how something so simple, and a little daring, can turn out terribly wrong.

Then there is the story of my kids taking our trampoline to the fence, on our side, up beside the neighbors house. There was a girl on the roof of the neighbors house that was about to jump, from the roof, over two chain link fences onto the trampoline. Thank God I saw them and stopped it. They didn't realize that the height of the jump, combined with her weight, if she had been fortunate to clear the two fences, would have propelled her from the trampoline, onto the ground, fence, tree, or into the next yard, at a tremendous thud.

You have to keep in mind what the others have stated. If the driver had to stop quickly, you would hit the back of the vehicle you are tied to, hard, or you could be swung into a permanent fixture. It isn't worth it, if You like your face, teeth, and the ability to think straight, oh yes and walk.

Just say no

I've done it and it is more than feasible, it works quite well. Some advise, fashion some type of quick release or you are in trouble. Make the rope long, but not too long. About 3 car lengths. Stay off of main roads. Don't let the police see you, they will bust you! Oh, and most importantly, DON'T DO THIS !!

"Feasible" (Capable of being accomplished ). By definition, YES, what you are asking IS feasible but, why not just ride IN the car ? If you need to take the bike along, put the bike in the trunk or get a bicycle rack.

Hypthetically, yes, it's possible to tow you on your bike by tying a rope to your bike and your sorority sister's car. However, it's definitely unsafe, potentially dangerous and could be illegal. Is this a hazing thing? Or are you going to be in a parade?

yes, hypothetically. however if your next question is will you survive such a crazy maneuver, the answer is no. You will not be able to stop if she stops quickly....slamming into the back of her car and killing yourself. In other words, don't do it

It is feasible but it is not legal in most of the US.
