It's because some people are intimidated by people with confidence. Deep down they wish they were more like you so instead of appreciating who you are people think they need to talk crap just to make themselves look good. Ignore it or confront it or just plain laugh at it. You are who you are be proud and never lose your pride!

nothing wrong with being yourself. I have a theory that when some one is talking about me and they are not telling me the problem they have with me, the problem is really one they have with themselves and if I really did need to correct something they would tell me about it. If they are telling you about maybe ask for specifics it could be something as simple as body language. Mine is my tone, I get accused of being hateful when really I am just trying to be loud enough to be heard

It's good to have confidence and pride, but you don't have to show off to everybody. Just be cool and down to earth, its not that hard you know. Nobody likes a show off

You know what they say:'If you have friends like that you don't need enemys.'
You have to be what and who you really are, don't listen to them, I know how is it like. Be your self and don't change that, because you fell good like that - in your skin- so, if someone don't like it's his/heres thing... Look, I'm girl who loves Techno, and sometimes when I say that to people , they starts to look at me like I'm from out off space...And they think that I'm taking a drugs, but I never have even try it, but what can I do about it... I love my Techno and I'll not give up of listen and enjoy in it... :)
So, be cool man and stay cool like you were!
R U :) ?

why do u really care about what they think ? if u like who u r then they should get used to ur personnality , u don't have to do everything that satisfies other people , i mean just get over it for god sake , after all there must be someone who adores ur personnality , u can't be hated by everyone ... so move on

you are absolutely right..don't give a damn about what others say..people are stupid really...it helps you sieve off and find people you really like..those who aren't prejudiced and judgemental of you..it's infact a good way to be proud and confident of yourself..you keep on doing that..and you'll know who deserves to be your friendand who doesn't.
