What sort of workers? I doubt that this is true (I have lived in China).

A decent wage for a college graduate is about 120USD per month, when starting out. A construction worker, food service worker, etc. may make one third or one half that. But remember that 120USD in China buys about 1200USD in the US.

Chinese work very hard, but many are unskilled, and even the very skilled aren't as accurate and exact in their work as could be--if it's good enough, it's good enough, don't try to be perfect.

"do not compare skills in Asia with skills and productivity in Western economies." Also, do not compare the costs of living. In many countries a few "dollars" a day are sufficient to live comfortably and raise a family.

It is true, yet they get this salary if they are lucky to have a job. Nevertheless, do not compare skills in Asia with skills and productivity in Western economies.
