In reality the United States is not acting as the world’s police, it some times seems that way relative to the lack of action by others.
Whenever there is some trouble, it is to the United States that most countries turn to for aid. Most such steps are taken by the United States through the United Nations. Some of those actions include military actions. Clearly there are always those who disagree with any action taken by the United States and there are those who disagree with the United States when it doesn’t take any action.
Let me explain to those outside of the United States about what may very likely happened. Forgetting about whether one agrees or doesn’t agree with the United States actions or non-actions, all of this may come to an end. There is a growing movement within the United States to withdraw from all such foreign actions and involvements.
This movement includes enforcing our borders with an iron fist so that no one crosses it.
It includes withdrawing from the United Nations and moving it outside of the United States.
It includes bringing all of the United States military home leaving only the sea and air power outside of our borders.
It includes building up the power of our military in space particularly a shield to strike from space.
It includes closing the United States embassies in any country where they are attacked.
Don’t believe that the United States can’t do this because it can. Many people say that the involvement is done to get oil, this is a series mistake. If the United States decides to do it, it has more than enough available energy within its own borders to last at least 200 years (500 years may be closer to the truth) even without new energy source development.
What many people refuse to look at is that the United States has not really used its military power and that power can be used to really protect its borders.
As the old saying goes, “So be careful what you wish for, you may get it.”

W aren't, and we never have.... Our country is founded on certain beliefs of freedom and democracy. If you will notice almost all of those countries we are in have asked us to help them, or the UN has asked for help. We do try to do the right thing, but sometimes we make mistakes, and get in over our heads....Also Americans have an incredible amount of freedom that you can't find in other countries. We also have a certain life style (yes we are spoiled ) that we are accustomed to. A lot of things we do to keep our people safe and secure.. Most of us have no idea what goes on to keep us safe and secure, We are not the worlds policemen, but we try to do the right thing and help others who ask for it or need it. We just get the short end of the stick and we are easy scapegoats and a lot of our own Americans are to spoiled and arrogant to see it. You people on here who are complaining about you own country...one question: What the heck have you done to change anything other than sit around and complain and point fingers ?.

Because crimes against humanity have gone unpunished for to long.
I have yet to see America step in and change things when another country treats its people fairly.
America was founded by people from other countries that did not like that they saw or how they where treated where they came from and still come from today.
America is composed of people from around the world with a very large mix of ideas and races. Americans where raised with the thought that people matter, and if need be the “bad guys” will be driven from power if that is what it takes to make things safer for all.
Just as some people that come from countries that have an iron rule that is for the family in power, the people of the country live with it and accept it as the way it is. When peoples lives are uprooted by someone that wants to make it fare for them they do not like change and push away.

After WWII, the torch became surpassed from England to the united statesa. the hot international potential. So sure, in essence the united stateshas been a spread of global police and we were doing extremely strong untill an extremely risky guy (Bush) took potential. the international expects us to act even as there's a crises overseas, no different land has that responsibilty. So we even ought to seek help from different international locations to attempt to carry forth peace and justice. regrettably on the grounds that 2000 we've lost the prestige of being an ethical and moral sort for something else of the international. it ought to take yet another 20 years or extra for us to redeem ourselves.

Because the US thinks that everyone should follow the policies and laws of the US, and if not must be forced to do so because the US alone knows what is right.
