One of my favorite things to do is to wave and holler at/to someone I don't like. It is so much fun to see their reaction! They have to be polite back, or they show what an A$$ they are. I can laugh about it literally for days after. Sometimes the reactions are that good. sometimes they stutter, sometimes they sputter, and sometimes they just look sharply for a minute, and recover themselves barley missing a beat and respond well. It is so funny! It is especially great when they get ugly right there; to everyone else you look so nice and sweet... "I was only saying hi," and so you were. And the punta goes off! Screaming at ya and carrying on.. I am laughing just thinking about the last bad one. Sometimes it even pisses them off enough that you can finally get the revenge of a restraining order, or the vengeance of pressing charges when they try to hit you for being so insolent. It is just too funny to watch the wind up... :-) I will forever say hi and wave...
Hold your friends close and your enemies closer...

I'd be polite only because I have more decency than to be rude and nasty. But in this scenario... if we're just passing by on the street, I wouldn't stop by and intentionally talk or wave to the person I don't like. I won't talke to the person unless I have to. But I'd be polite if I have to.

Graciousness is free, even in times of stress. The better person takes the route of cordiality, and keeps petty likes and dislikes to themself. There are already too many rude people around. I'd take the high road.

As long as they don't acknowledge me, I won't acknowledge them but if they waive so will I and if they say hi I will too when they try to have a conversation I find a reason to leave, I can't tell you how many times I have gone "to pick up my daughter" knowing that she will not be there when i get to the day care just to get away from some one

why shall i have contradictions with myself , i mean i don't have to do what please others , if i don't like him why shall i wave to him , is it a sort of showing how cool u r . this person won't add or lessen anything about me , so if i don't like him i don't have to show him the opposite just to be polite , it's against my perspectives , and look towards life .

I would avoid that person at all cost, or pretend I don't see that person.

If they don't smile first, I will turn away and avoid them.
