I disagree, men are not always disrespectful to women. Its not simply part of their nature.
Some will behave this way because of selfishness or immaturity.
Other men may have learned to behave with disrespect to women in their family of origin or through their culture.
Not all cultures think that full equality of men and women is an agreed value.
All people and cultures are capable of responding with disrespect to others (both female and male).
How is it fixed?
Jesus gave one answer "Love one another as I have loved you" and "Love your neighbour as yourself". I cannot think of a better one...
One last thought can you think of any successful civilisation where the men did not respect and love their women and children?

let me tell u .. although it doesn't have to be a general rule that men disrespect women , women just have to keep their pride and love it more than themselves at the first place ; in this case nobody would ever be allowed to disrespect her . it's u and only u who determines the way people r gonna treat u so don't blame men when u lessen ur value in front of them coz they just treat u the way u choose and not by their own choice , u see what i mean ?

A man will only do what we let him do to us. Don't let no one disrespect you if thay do they don't care about you so move on. I know that is not always easy but it is not easy being hurt either.
