Genesis is rapidly being eroded away by science, how much longer do you think it will be before the book is removed from the Bible and replaced by something more credible?

Those who reply the Bible will never change, it has already been changed. Firstly in 500AD by Constantine secondly there are many versions all slightly different so it changes all the time.

The Bible has changed so much already, I don't think anyonme will notice if it changes again. I mean, every time the end of the world doesn't happen, they decide, oh well it must have been something else then. I think the Bible will eventually die out along with Christianity, just like the ancient religions did once they had explanations to previously unknown things. Funny isnt it? Christians think Pagans are wrong but Paganism has survived through other theories coming and going.

The book will never be removed from the Bible because it's the Bible and therefore sacred and untouchable to all those who believe. Some people will believe anything...I'm reminded of a cult sometime in the 70s who got rid of all their earthly possessions and went to a cliff top to wait for the aliens to take them away. The aliens never came, but they didn't stop believing.

Who says Genesis is being eroded away be science?! I'm so tired of people believing stories like The Da Vinci Code over a book that has truly endured. Y'all need to find yourselves a good church and get your questions answered there! (try the da vinci code sermon series on reallifefellowship.org)

The book of Genesis will never be removed. To admit a flaw in the bible would remove all theological credibility.

The religious types will continue to protest that 'science' is inferior to the 'Word of God'.

Literally interpret the bible and you look stupid. Genesis wont be moved from the bible but people's interpretation will change. It is a superb work of poetic mythology, as good as the aboriginal dreamtime. Just because something is mythological, doesnt mean it is worthless.

The bible will never change, but religion may decide that the creation happened at the big bang, so that will buy them another 20 years till science explains that one fully, Then they may change their defintition to first atom that ever existed.

I guess after a few years. Science and Religion are going to have to battle it out by themselves... with a few debates with the Church and some scientists...

But I guess the Church wouldn't allow that, because if they give in to Science, then what the heck is the use?

The book won't be removed, it will just be re-interpreted. If the book is changed, it will be the church admitting defeat and changing the word of God, which isn't really allowed.

They won't replace it. There's no outside council that dictates how a book should be set up. The religion itself decides. But it is losing it's hold in society in general.
