when that happens use ctrl+alt+del to bring up windows task manager and look for explorer.exe if its not there you have to run it... by runnin it i mean got to the windows task manager (ctrl+alt+del) go to file new task run and type ( explorer.exe) that should bring your taskbar up again :-)

Yes. Right click with the mouse on a black part of the tool bar. Left click on properties. The tab that says "Taskbar" will automatically open up; then see the blue heading that says "taskbar appearance"; the 4th option says "group similar taskbar buttons" UNCHECK this. click apply and ok! No more annoying grouping!

This would be because of explorer.exe ending unexpectedly. This could be due to CPU overloads, or too many open sources in explorer.exe. Try to close all other files and folders before opening My Computer then see what happens.

Try to boot in one of the XP Safe mode to see what's happening.

If you can not figure out and fix this way, just think at complete reinstall.

increase ur virtual memory. if it doesn't work try making your C: drives space more. i mean empty u C: drive {remove or move (to other drive) unnecessary files} if this too doesn't work just increase your RAM

best of luck
