When my cat runs up my stairs in my house she makes the weirdest noise, she sounds just like the sound R2D2 makes (not joking)
She makes the noise from the bottom right until she has reached the top, it is hilarious!!!!
That's why cats are ace, they make really odd noises.
She also growls at my dog when he pi**es her off, she did it the other day whilst I had a friend round and my friend thought that my next door neighbour was drilling his wall!!!!!

I have a female cat that a friend found under her car hood 2 years ago in the cold around Nov.( Michigan) well anyways she bought it to me i already have cats but they are all gray only this female is gray to i told her no that i did not think i should for all my cats are between 10 and 17 years old so i did not want to corrupt theirs living establishments with a kitten but i did end up taken her she was about 2 months old some of the cats did not get along with her but one of my males did (critter) he cared for her like he was the mother my son named her tweak off south park movie when she meows she squeaks she purrs with a growl her breathing was not normal and she pants a lot so i took her to the vet i told him about her breathing her squeaking and panting he said she had a bad lung and heart. her squeaking instead of meowing is due from birth she was weened to early from her mother so she did not no how to meow so that explains why she squeaks she is a real active cat she is 2 in a half now she plays dead sits when told to play fetch rolls over loves taken showers i ask her for a kiss i get one i tell all my cats they are the best in the world and i would never trade them in for any other animal

I think your cat is fine!
Mine makes a funny noise when she jumps down from a height. My other cat chatters to birds, but she also make noises when she sleeps. Kind of like a throaty sigh.
Don't worry, just be a observant cat owner and she will be fine

If this has only just started to happen i would suggest taking her to the vets, but to be honest i think most cats do it, i no ours do and smurph has got a lot more vocal now we have decided to keep him in untill the kitten is slightly older and we can keep the cat flap unlocked

Have you wormed the cat.
Mine used to make squeaking noises I took him to the vet and he said he had worms.
You can get worming stuff in the supermarket. It will not do any harm if the cat has not got worms.

My cats all make strange noises similar to that and "chirp" at the birds. It's normal.

Cats make noises, just like people, maybe its just sighing. One of my cats sound like a baby crying when she whines for food, so dont worry about it.

Normal.
Mine has a massive vocabulary of noises for conscious and unconcsious. I have worked out what some of them mean (normally demands for something) some of them I never will
