Yes.Sound need not be sound only if it is heard.Did you get the idea from Zen Budhdhism in which is said that if an event as tree falling is not seen by a person that event did not occur as far as that person is concerned ? Merely because there was no viewer or listener i.e., a receiver of the stimulus of light (view or sight) or of sound(hearing) of the tree falling, does not mean that the tree did not fall.

Yes because the main ingredient that makes sounds is oxygen and where there is oxygen there is noise,thats why in space nobody can hear you,unless your in the space ~shuttle but don't let that oxygen run out not only will you not be able to hear your colleagues...you'll DIE!

the correct answer is NO. sound is created when waves of energy enter our ears. our brain receives the information and translates it as sound. if nobody is around to hear it, those waves of energy can't be interpreted as sound so no sound is actually made.

If you define sound as something heard by a person, then no. However, if you define sound as vibrations traveling through a medium, then yes.
