Yes, I have been and its a very beautiful experience. Even though all times I had slipped into that state unknowingly, the last time was the one where I really realised whats going on & had full control of myself. You could travel places & spaces in no time even though you may not feel them. Seeing your own body lying there makes you realise you are not just the mere body but more than that.
It is not any hallucination. In fact you can experience it in full conciousnous, where you can do that at your own will. Good meditation will help you in that. When you are out of the body, its your etheral body that makes you see your physical body. We are made up of four bodies, i.e Physical Body, Mental Body, Intelligence Body & the Spiritual or Etheral Body. Out of body experience is known as "Astral Travel". This doesn't happen to all people. If you have experienced it, you should be happy, never fear aboout it.

Only at extreme moments of embarrassment like when I went to a job interview one time and lactated all over the front of my clothes (breast feeding) the time I called my boss a not so nice name not realizing that she was standing behind the door of the room I had walked into. I've had approximately 20 or so out of body experiences my whole life due to horrendously humiliating moments where I either wasn't thinking, opened my mouth or was simply at the mercy of whim and circumstance. I figure O of B is better than dropping dead completely..don't you? Yeah..me too. Though a large rock to crawl under woulda been handy in a couple of those situations...I should write a book. Love in Christ, ~J~ <>< P.S. I don't think its real or a halluciantion..I think its wishful thinking as in.."I'd like to be anywhere right now not in my own skin."

Yes, it was an illuminating experience. It made me realize that we all come form God. I saw a giant light, and I had to sucum to the light before I was allowed to enter into it. It was like bowing before a king; and this light was King. After I went into it, I was aware of all knowledge that ever existed. The most important thing that I learned from the experience, is that we all come form that light, and this is why God is referred to as our Father. Everyone in the light leaned on the other for support; and this is love.

I was asleep in the U.S. on a trip once, and my wife, awoke in Brazil and felt that I was there sitting at the end of the bed. She said that she felt pressure on her feet. That night I have dreamed that we were together.

Who knows. It is possible, but requires a bit of practice to achieve.
