does any1 know how old u have 2 b to get contacts?

You can start to wear contacts at any age, that is if you are old enough & mature enough to take responsibility of cleaning them so that you can prevent infections.. These infections which if you neglect could cause you dearly, you only have a pair of eyes, no spare-parts, once gone is gone.. Imagine how would it be to be using only one eye? pretty hard aye?
Before starting using contacts, pls do see an eye specialist to check if it is safe & ok to do so. Some case of excessive dryness of eyes (like mine) might not encourage you to use them so often. If you are starting on contacts now, i would suggest using the daily contacts, rather than monthly. It shall reduce the risk of getting infections, of course it might be a bit more expensive, but it's worth it.
Don't forget to put prescribed eyedrops, in case of dryness or irritation. for the first time, start wearing them like 2-4 hours and increase the hours accordingly. Do not wear them straight 24 hours, it will strained your eyes as they are not used to them just yet. Another thing, do not ever sleep with your contacts, remove them just as are done for the day.. Do you just hate how they look or have you been wearing them longer than one year? I'm unsure if there is a minimum age for contacts. However, I do know that you need to wear glasses for a minimum of 1 year before they will put contacts in your eyes. Of course, there are exceptions though. Ask your eye doctor for more details. You could also go to www.webmd.com and ask one of their online eye doctors too. Hope this helps you out.

As far as I know you can get contacts at any age. They even have therapeutic contacts for infants sometimes.
