I actually have three that I've always used to define love(for your significant other). I derived it from studies, watching people around me(friends, family, etc.), and through my own experience:
Love... is when you're taking a crap and your partner is in the same bathroom with you there at the sink brushing his/her teeth.
Love.. is the joining of two half-souls, finding each other to form its original whole
Love.. is when your happiness flows through within him/her/it

It is a sensation that causes you to want to be with someone.

If it is raining out side you say to them drive carefully and you mean it.
