Its really something to see how atheists get so angry whreh theyre belifs are challenged in a completely rational way.But I just wanted to add a good point someone made that evolution is "natural "selection.
Thats a god point like I said but you would still think that a person that put so much into helping the effort would be applauded by his religous members

Bauer, he was NOT a Christian. He really WAS the twisted, self-serving megalomaniac who used religion for his own purposes that everybody's so fond of saying the rest of us are.

As for the question, good point; he's an ideal role model of the morality that centers around finding your own truth and sticking to it.

What a non sequitur! What a nonsensical argument!

Evolution is a process of *natural* selection. Hitler was a maniacal madman who took it upon *himself* to select who should live and who should die. That is why he is not regarded as a hero.

Evolution "seeks to establish" *nothing.* There is no intelligence; no goal; no decision; no wish; no plan behind evolution. There is no bias or agenda. Nor is there any inherent evil -- or goodness, for that matter. These are all human traits. Evolution is a totally natural result of endless mutations, births, and deaths.

Hitler *had* a goal (and intelligence, and a plan, and a bias...). The two could not be much further apart.

Further, your question (with the use of the term "hero") implies that *evolution* is something praise-worthy. Is that what you resist? I don't speak for others, but I don't see it that way. Evolution simply *is.*

You may be a creationist (I suspect so) and tire of hearing scientists promote evolution. But scientists and other courageously rational thinkers are merely promoting *truth* (as others hypocritically claim to). Careful research -- not personal agendas -- has led them to their conclusions. They're not saying, "Yay evolution!"

I originally posted that this was a stupid question with a hidden agenda. I want to clarify that I don't think *any* sincere question is stupid, and I regret any implication of that.

What I have a problem with is the *hidden agenda* part -- the apparent attempt to discredit the respectable study of evolution by associating it (and the scientists whose only goal is to learn the truth) with a madman whose actions had nothing to do with (and no resemblance to) evolution. (You would know this if you did some *unbiased* research and learned what evolution is about.)

If you truly were only asking a question, and had no such agenda, I apologize.

But for the record, I am not an atheist. Nor do I see *anyone* here claiming to be. What in the world does anyone's faith have to do with comparing Hitler to evolution? -- again unless you have a hidden agenda to discredit science and promote your own beliefs.

Indeed, your assumption that any of us are atheist is exemplary of the kind of sloppy information gathering and shaky conclusion so common outside the realm of science -- and the reason science is so desperately needed.

Evolution is the survival of the fittest.

Now to clearify things here:
The fittest does not mean the strongest or fastest - it means the ones who best fit into their environment.

The establishment of a master race goes against this theory...
It believes in the superiority of one "race" ..

Hitler did not use the evolution ( which is a scientific explanation of the changes of species to to the forms we see them in today), he used Nietzsche's concept of a Ueber- Mensch ( Nietzsche was a philosopher).

So Hitler used a philosophy and not science.
He also misused Christianity for his own causes but so did the catholic church for the last centuries and many churches ( yes, even baptist churches ) misuse religion for their own agenda.

And as mentioned earlier: Hitler believed that the Master race were 6ft tall blond strong blue eyed aryan men and german- While hitler was a 5 ft 3" black haired weak brown eyed guy who was an austrian...........He just was a psycho who got too much power

DARWIN SAYS HIS TEORY IS NO MORE WITH HIS OWN WORDS!!!
In Asia, Africa and Australia lives a remarkable creature the archerfish that shoots down its prey from the air above it with a burst of water. It uses its tongue and the top of its mouth to form a groove simiilar to a gun barrel. Then by compressing its gills it squirts water up to six feet with deadly accuracy -- in spite of the distortion caused by seeing the target from below the surface of water.
Evolutionists still don't know how the archerfish got its amazing abilities. They can only wonder. Viewid through the distortion of evolution they cannot explain how the archerfish gradually learned to not aim where its eyes see but to aim instead at a different spot where the target actually is.
Without its binocular vision it couldnot see the object with such precision and without the special shape of the upper mouth and a specialized tongue it could not make the groove it needs to shoot lthe concentrated jet of water. Many factors have to appear together and be perfectly formed for this shooting mechanism to work. This of course goes totally against Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory which is based on a gradual step by step process.
Darwin wrote in (The Origin of Species)-- "If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous successive slight modifications my theory would absolutely break down"(1859, p. 171).
The archerfish offers precisely such an example since several complex systems must all appear at the same time perfectly and not gradually formed--binocular vision,a specialized mouth and tongue, specialized gills to compress and expel water and an aiming system based in the brain and not in the eyes. If any of these parts is missing the mechanism will not hit the target and no survival advantage is created.
When you get down to the facts the archerfish with one squirt of its gills shoots down Charles Darwin's entire theory of evolution and that by Darwin's own admission!!!
So evolution doesn't have the answer to this mystery. But the Bible does. Genesis 1:20-21 says that God created all the creatures that live in the water. He created a great variety of perfectly formed fish including the archerfish with all its special features such as binocular vision other specialized organs and a built in ability to compenste for the distortion of the water.

OK, Hitler was a 5'2" dark haired man telling people that being 6' and blonde was the only way to be, so he was not trying to establish a master race, he was attempting to destroy others. Evolution is change to better the entire species not just the parts of it that one person or entity finds to be best.

No Hitler was a Catholic... and he also thought he was God. That is why he established the Third Reich... to establish his legacy for a thousand years. He also did not observe the words of Jesus and we are to know people by their fruits. So he was not a Christian because Christians follow Christ. He may have professed to believe in Jesus... but so does the devil and frankly Hitler was obsessed with the occult... so he knew the devil well.

Hitler had no understanding of evolution. Clearly, neither do you.

You don't advance the course of evolution by trying to recreate a mythical race of people that would have died out thousands of years ago if they had ever really existed. Cavemen are not a superior species.

Hitler is NOT regarded as a hero because his methods were cruel and inhumane and certainly not natural selection. His wish for a master race is not what makes him evil, and it is like evolution. But gassing people is evil and should never be repeated!

Since evolution is true, we see natural selection in play with the termination of Hitler who was not himself conducive to the better vision of humanity shared by the majority of primates.

you are wearing a profound ignorance like a badge of honor.
