I was 80 lbs overweight and now I am only 13 lbs away from having lost all of it. I will tell you how. First go see a doctor to get a physical to make sure there are no diet restrictions based on any condition you may have.

1)Drink at least 48 ounces of water a day. Don't go by these online calculators that tell you how much to drink because they exagerate terribly and will cause you to bloat from water intake. 48 ounces is a good amount. Drinking water promotes weight loss.

2)No fad diets! Some Atkins is good as well as some of South Beach, but not all parts of those diets are great.Cut down your portions from what ever you are used to. For the first couple of weeks stick to no more than 30g carbs, and 70g of fat per day. It will be tough at first, but will get easier by the second week. I recommend you stay with this rule until you are within 20 lbs of your goal, but if you do not wish to, add 5 g of carbs per day for every week after the initial 2 until you stop losing weight. When you hit that point lower the carb intake again so they weight loss will resume. Adding more fat after the first 2 weeks is ok but is obviously not healthy for your heart.

3)Most important rule! Excercise! You will not lose and keep off weight without it. I recommend walking at a 3.5 to 4mph pace for 6 miles, 4-5 days per week. At a 3.5mph pace that is equal to 103 minutes. Not too much time. Any other kind of excercise equal to or better than this would be great. Do not however overexert yourself. If you do injuries can occur and will only keep you from continuing the excercise.

4)If you believe it won't derail you, have one cheat day where you have one, and I do emphasize one, cheat meal one day out of the week, after the initial two weeks.

5)Eat until you are satiated, not until you are stuffed.

6)Weigh yourself once every week so ou can keep track of your progress and see if you need to cut anymore carbs out. Do not get discouraged if you don't lose weight super fast, or if it slows down a bit after a while. Losing weight at a steady pace is much better than weight lost rapidly, and will be more likely to stay off when you lose it.

7)Always think positive, and stay determined. Just imagine how much better you will look and feel when you have lost the weight.

I have lost 67 lbs in 5 months. Trust me this works. If you need anymore advise feel free to email me. Good luck and God bless.

Change your eating habits and exercise daily. When exercising you must really push yourself! A little jogging today and none tomorrow is just not going to work if you really want to lose the weight and keep it off. I run at least one mile each morning and sometimes go for more if I feel able and that is something that I think you are probably capable of and should try if you're really serious about losing the weight. Also, stop drinking the sodas. While they may taste better than water, they are only making your body more unhealthy. Before running I do start out with a warm up and do some pushups, situps, etc. but take it slow and start out with just a warmup and running/jogging to start out with. Good luck!

Cut down on your carbs and fats. It will help alot. :) First of all, start with being determined about it. Show yourself that you really want to lose weight. Losing weight needs alot of motivation and confidence. Even if it means 5 kg. 95% of the population, on diets alone, tend to fail, and gain more weight than when they dont diet. So i recommend that maybe, you should go to a nearby GYM and exercise. :D I have went to the GYM many times before, and trust me, it works. Hmm. Do 40-60 minutes of cardio (any type of cardio, from running to breeze walking on the trackmill, or even light cycling), and 20-30 minutes of toning up. Go there 2-3 times a week, and you will see yourself as a more healthier and more confident person. ALL THE BEST!!

60lbs in a year. Now you are thinking properly. Most people on this site, want that much lost in a month. 60 in a year is do-able.
It is simple dear, Exercise + Diet + Commitment = Results.
Exercise, start with speed walking, turn that into jogging, keep that going and get into some weight training.
Diet, its common sense, you know what foods are bad, quit eating them.
Commitment, never quit the lifestyle you have chosen.

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
The correct way to burn fat and stay healthy is to burn more calories than you consume
You need to make sure you are eating healthy foods while still excercising
If you have a big appetite drink plenty of water so that you will feel full but not consume calories
But you should always eat
If you start to skip meals you will only be more hungry at your next meal and probably eat way too much
Remember, the average persons stomach is as big as a slice of pizza scrunched up into a ball
So you shouldnt be putting more food into your stomach than what fits
Also, it takes aproximately 15-20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full
so eat slower and you will realize sooner when you are not hungry anymore

ALSO....
i found this artical called "50 Habits of "Naturally Thin" People
How to get Started:Decide how much you want to loose and see how many calories a day it will take to make it happen by year's end. Then, work into your routines however many of these eating tweaks and exercises you need to achieve your goal.
Slash 250 cal.s a day to lose about 25 lbs. in a year, Slash 500 cal.s to loose 50 pounds.
This is based on a 150-pound person: you may need to cut more/ fewer calories depending on ur weight, age & gender. It also assumes your normal calorie intake essentially stays the same and your weight is stable.
