this may be the formal way, but in japanese i thought you could say
(watashi ha) anata o ai (o) shimasu
to say "I love you", you said more along the lines of "affection"... i think, for aishiteru
"Aloha au iā ‘oe" means i love you in hawaiian
that is what i know from personal experience, but here are more "i love yous"
