Everyone will claim spiritual becuse religious has a bad conatation to it.I have the guts to say..neither.

The word 'religious' does have such negative connotations these days. People view the folks they label 'religious' as people who do not think for themselves and are completely conventional. It's funny that even Jesus, the God of the Christians, himself says that life isn't about seeing who can be the most religious. It's too easy to get caught up in religious bs, because it's as simple as following a set of rules, but that's not what life ought to be about. It's harder than that and more beautiful. Anyhow, here we are in our post-modern culure, most any of us would claim the label 'spiritual' before the label 'religious'-whichever one gets us the most approval from others. People who are not a part of any faith tradition can be 'religious' in a sense. If you are into formulas, 10 step programs on how to become a millionaire in a week or whatever it seems you can fall into the same trap that people of faith are prone too. Well, we're all 'prone' to thinking that life is less messy than it really is. Anyhow, that's my speil. I grew up in a conservative christian home and have been out of that for a while and find it interesting that people who've never been in a family so committed to a way of life can be just as close minded and fall under similar criticisms that religious groups/faith communities get from the public. After we're done mud slinging we're all still just human beings.

SPIRITUAL
but dear there is no category like religious
only SPIRITUAL and not being SPIRITUAL
You can be spiritual in a RATIONAL way
or in a RELIGIOUS way
both are good but to be practised in its real form
Becoming SPIRITUAL mean good understanding of SELF
In our FAMILIAR physical world,
to better understand something,
we are told to watch it from outside of it.
But in SPIRITUALITY,
we are told to GO INSIDE US!
I love to be SPIRITUAL in a RATIONAL WAY....!

religion is a tool to make you spiritual. but after you know the Truth, you are set free from man's laws and you will go beyond religion to understand life spiritually.
