Assualt on an officer max is like 5 years. 30 days and a $1000 fine assualt and battery for off duty if you say you did know he was a cop.

You will probably get beaten within a fraction of your life and then you will probably be arrested. If the cop is your friend, he will probably kick you in the nuts after recovering from the blow to the nads.

If he's on duty, that's classified as assaulting a police officer, and you're probably going to get arrested. If he's off duty, he's probably just going to kick the **** out of you.

In Georgia, on duty, not less than 5 years nor more than 25. Off duty, I'm not as sure, I think not less than 5 years and not more than 20.
Short version: You can think about it...but don't do it!

But what you can expect is to join the list of whiners here complaining cops "pick on them" when the fact is it's premeditation to assault them.
And if you are meaning north of Seattle you will probably get what you deserve. On or off duty.

You will probably get your skinny *** beaten and thrown in jail. Plus he will probably be sure to tell all his cop friends who you are, where you live and they will all pay lots of attention to you for a very long time.
