Pc monitors emit lesser radiation however you can feel that your eyes hurt when u stare at the Pc for a long time. You should buy a radiation glass filter for your monitor if you don't have one.

The reason why is that there was so much radiation coming from them. Also this was a problem when PC monitors first came out. People who did sit and edit television show all day, most wear glasses and some even got really bad eye problems. It is also the white glare, like off the snow. Causing complication with your sight. Not fiction true fact.

that goes back to a time when the TV actually emited "radiation" or something like that, as the story goes

now the the danger is that we tend not to blink when working on the computer, so the eye is exposed to more light than it should and causing dmg to the eye.
