You're just promoting yourself.
It just reflects that we are all trying to figure out this life. If you find inspiration on the back of your Wheaties box, good for you.

It is not stupid because everyone interprets the bible different. It doesn't matter how a person interprets a passage from the bible, as long as they find the good in what God has said. God didn't mean for all people to think the same, if he did he wouldn't have giving you the power to think for yourself. It doesn't matter whether you read the bible or believe in it as long as you can think and know the difference between right and wrong, and show compassion towards others you are on the right path of life.

I dunno, Check'm. I don't think that, just because people have differing opinions about something, means the 'something' should be completely disregarded or 'trashed'. Some people are simply stating their opinions based on limited knowledge, others are sharing emotion that they feel as a result. Perhaps others are right in their assessment of what it means. Who knows?
What I find interesting is why there aren't more question/answer sessions with atheists who have quotations, and not necessarily scripture, to support their opinion/belief. The so-called 'christians' are slammed for quoting scriptures and reamed for interpreting it wrong, but I don't see references to scientific materials or theory papers that lend me a reason to bend a hearing ear to any of the atheists either.
So far, on the atheist's side, I just see a lot of anger and bitterness and expressions of emotions taking the lead in justifying the belief. And I don't state this to be antagonistic... I genuinely want to know what has been read/not read that stands as the foundation of YOUR belief.
Lastly, as someone else mentioned, keep the shameless self-promotion to your own site. This forum is strictly for the ability to question and answer... not to market oneself. Please respect the guidelines. Thanks.

I went to that link and read everything there. I think you missed the point - what is written there are opinions and viewpoints - not interpretations, or statements to be taken as gospel. But, hey, if you want to be an atheist, that is your choice. But to say that those Christian viewpoints are PROOF that the Bible should be trashed is a bit far-fetched. In any case, as an atheist, why should it bother you what Christians say or believe? As a Christian, I would defend your right to be an atheist, even though I am a Christian.

Firstly, if people don't know then they will generally invent something rather than keep their noses out. Secondly, some verses in the bible can cause debates as to exactly what is ment. Thirdly, different translations can cause confusion. My personal opinion on this scripture is that it either refers to the wonders of heaven being within you (as in joy, peace, etc.) or that inside you is the ability to enter the kingdom of heaven. I am by no means an authority in this matter, this is just what seems sensible to me though.

between the biggest issues in christianity is that maximum Christians don't understand Gods be conscious. So in many circumstances it truly is declared that "i imagine" God this or that. They base it on what they "imagine" God may do or no longer do, and that is the case right here. maximum individuals don't have an effective expertise so that they are purely putting forward what they "imagine" it potential, instead of quite starting to be attentive to Gods be conscious. I actual have fallen into this catch many circumstances. i'm on a challenge to benefit Gods be conscious, so i do no longer make that mistake.

I think it should not be trashed. But it should not be used by people to manipulate others. I am a Catholic because I was born a Catholic, and not because I chose to. I believe being open-minded is much better.

Why would you want to trash the number one best seller of all time? It should be appreciated as the book of short stories that it is.
Some people take lord of the rings pretty seriously, trash that too?

YOU can't prove to me that God doesn't exist...! Why do you believe there is no God...?!?!?!? I realize the reverse is true - that I can't "prove" to you that there is... However, I DO believe in light, love, and truth... And, for any of you agnostics (unknowing one) out there, should your code be: "Nothing really matters...?," I think - somewhere inside - you believe that truth does... I love you whether you believe in Him or not...! YOU have a great day...! God bless you... and no, I don't care whether you sneezed or not.. =) Yay...!

I don't think it proves the Bible should be trashed, but it proves that some people need to educate themselves.
