Get a good quality rope toy...the ones that appear to be twisted string tied in a knot. Soak it in unsalted broth. Dry it in a very slow oven. she will try to chew all the falovor out of that, and it works as dental floss to keep her teeth clean, and her breath fresh.
If she grows tired, (couple of months)as the flavor is gone, just wash by hand, and re-soak.

You really should first have your dog's health checked by a vet. An abscess or decayed tooth could be the problem. While you're there, have the vet show you how to properly brush your dog's teeth, because this is a very effective method of removing plaque (I know, because I regularly brush my Chinese Crested Hairless's teeth twice a week). Dog biscuits, rawhide bones or the equivalent, and good-quality kibble dog food are also essential for healthy teeth and gums. Finally - and this is an easy and inexpensive way to sweeten a dog's breath - give your dog a handful or two of washed and drained lettuce with its evening meal several times a week. Most important of all is to begin with a visit to the vet - untreated dental problems can lead to far more serious health issues in dogs (just as in humans). Good luck to you and your dog!

I agree with the last answer. If you really want to help the dog with the bad breath then...................... you must have them put under and deep cleaned. That's the only way you can start out with a new fresh and clean smelling mouth. All of the other crap they sell out there doesn't do anything except mask the nasty smell momentarily.

First, is it an old dog? Second, it might have bad teeth. Third, it might be in ill health. There are dental tabs you can purchase that have a natural odor control ingrediant that helps. It comes in a blue and white can but I can't remember the name of the product.

yes, really bad breath in dogs is not normal. many people think it is but really, it's not. it means that the dog has bad teeth. the "cure" would be to put the dog under and removee the plaque and bild up

You can brush the dogs teeth with dog tooth paste and they also have a lot of different kinds of bones for his breath.

depends on why he has bad breath...it could be a cavity. If it is just doggy breath..they do make dog biscuits that cut down on bad breath, special mint flavored ones, or have his teeth brushed or cleaned.
