Marriage

I was married for 10 years..although I enjoyed my married life because of my children..and would never replace those memories, children grow up and become adults though which changes things and puts a different perspective on it.
I have been single for almost 12 years now,it's had it ups and downs, but eventually I would like to share my life with someone
compatible that I can do things with.
Being single and alone does have its drawbacks, after exploring all the advantages, but eventually sharing your life with someone or somebody just makes more sense I think.
The problem is of course if finding that person to share things with that you are compatible with. I have wasted a lot of time trying to nuture relationships that ended anyways..and I just consider all that "wasted time" in my life..and I wish it hadn't happened at all..that is why it is so hard to even try and establish a relationship with anyone at all.
I am 45 years old soon to be 46.. and still single after being married for over 10 years early on in my 20's and early 30's.

I was married for a few years right out of high school. Long enough to have a couple of kids. Then we got divorced and I spent the next 20 years jammin' around the country on my scooter. I loved every minute of it. Then I met a little lady who tamed me and immediately died in a car accident. Now I'm pushing 60 and find I would like being married again but don't think it would work. I've been single most of my adult life. I'm set in my ways. it sure would be nice though to have someone to curl up with and spend time with. Luckily I've got my kids and my grand kids to spend some time with but it's not the same as having a special someone by my side. All you young people who want to stay single forever, Hey, get your running and wildness out of your systems while you're young but don't Wait too long. find that special person and settle down, raise a family. it may not seem like a big deal now but when start seeing the end of your life coming at you alot faster than you'd like to admit, Having a loving family around you is awful nice.

Some are married but act single. Some are single and act married, as though they got some split personality.

I prefer Marriage.
