i think it would be more helpful to let a 2 year learn to be a 2 year old!

I'm a Montessori teacher. The Montessori method is all about letting the child explore his environment through his senses--manipulation is vital. I'm not sure how you plan to use videos, or if you're talking about particular videos, but then it would not be very Montessori. There's a really good book by Lesley Britton called Montessori Play and Learn which has great ideas for games and activities you can do at home based on Montessori exercises.

No. The two year olds learning is playing. Playing alone and with others, including thier mother and father. They need to learn that they are important and what they like are important and there is going to be plenty of time in their pre-school and school years to receive the formal education they will need.

let them explore their world in their own way.. methods of teaching can come later the main thing is allowing them to move at their own pace....relax enjoy and have fun ... he'll be an emotionally better child if you don't push.......freebie
