I've caught Christians pretending to be Atheists for the sake of trying to make Atheists look bad on this site.

I heard a man tell his son that Atheists are like being drunk but only ten times worse

I heard a man that was training the military say Osama Bin Ladin and Saddam Husain are Atheist(They're really Muslims)

I see Christians on this site saying things like Atheists are bitter and if we say we're not, we're lying.

the thing is we all feel passionately about our beliefs. We all hold exclusive beliefs. an atheist feels there is no higher being. he won't buy into any discussion about God. It's nonsense. i know i used to be one.

All religions/denominations/even atheists believe their way is right. Get all these people together and well you get war. The challenge are the stereotypes. People want to judge and label a whole sect of people primarily by singling out the worst possible example from their group. Not all muslims are terrorists, not all Christians judge and belittle others, not all atheists are bitter.

The truth is Christians are single out for the belief that the only way to heaven is through Jesus. If you ask a muslim if a christian will go to heaven they will say no. Christians aren't the only religion who feel that there way is the only way. Yet we are picked on more for that belief.

I said all that to say this... you can't believe everything you hear or read. Test it for yourself, find the answers yourself, don't go on what other people say. get the facts and the proof that you need for you. I see many non christians posing as christians too. some folks just like to cause division........as the saying goes, divide and conquer.

I'm not sure how anyone can assume such things of another. Like atheists are bitter, lonely, without morals. I don't see them in the news going on a rampage in front of an abortion clinic or getting thrown in jail for criminal activities... like poor old Jimmy Bakker (among others.) It's an emotional play, which some people left behind when they got out of high school and got into the real world.

Christians pretending to be atheists... *Sigh*

ok.... i will chew.... at the starting up.... you're making some assumptions that i'm no longer. One, that any individual who claims they don't remember on God is "punished" to eternity in hell. (Granted, some religious ppl do carry that perception, yet i do not persist with the different sheep, i look in the route of the shepherd.) For all i understand, God ought to easily deliver that individual decrease back to Earth to attempt back. (And in in the present day's international, that is a spread of punishment.) yet, i'm individual who believes that someone who Walks the course receives to the right destination regardless of if he would not continually say the words or performs the video games a faith says he might want to. individual who spends extra time speaking about the course than strolling it, would not. 2, that God "sends" us to hell. 2 adult men take a visit. One, follows a map and a go back and forth handbook left by employing different travelers of the course in the previous him. even as he's composed of a fork contained in the line, he takes the course to the right as suggested. the different guy believes the go back and forth handbook is a lie and decides to make his way on his personal. on the fork contained in the line, he takes the course to the left. Who determined on the position each and each and every guy complete their journey? God? The map makers or go back and forth handbook writers? Or each and each and every of the adult men who chosen what route they could go back and forth? My very last remark/question is.... assume atheists are acceptable and theists are incorrect. What has the theist fairly lost by employing his pastimes in the route of a larger potential? If there is not any grand plan and we are only living our lives and finally end up computer virus nutrients, what has the theist fairly lost? yet what if the atheist is incorrect? What ought to he lose purely because of his conceitedness in wondering he (and human beings like him) are the most sensible beings contained in the Universe?

I think that people put judgment on people to quickly by stereotypes, and say that people who do not go to the church that everyone Else goes to they are wrong. for years i thought my step-dad was an atheists, and it turns out he is actually very much a christian, he just don't go to church, he lives a moral lifestyle, and prays.....along with my mother.....

I think that the true atheists will eventually be converted, if we just teach them the truths about Jesus. The people that we perceive as atheists sometimes are people who are not taught the teachings of the Bible, or those who have had a bad experience in church... i.e. my mother who thinks that all Baptist are looking down on u when you walk into church, and always trying to push you around.....

we all have our beliefs... and just because one does not agree with someone Else's doesn't make them an atheists.

on the Muslim thing, that is ridiculous like i said, just because they don't go to our church doesn't mean they don't believe in God.

I'm struck by what a coincidence this is! As a Christian, I feel like people are bashing Christians, and you feel like atheists are being bashed. Could it be that both sides just need to be more respectful of the other?

Can we start by each of us promising not to bash others? If each of us reading this make the same promise, do you think we might all find this a much better place to hang out and possibly find out that we're all human beings with feelings and are all worthy of being treated with respect?

you do sound bitter. I don't think you guys need us to make you look bad.
As far as the drunk/ atheist comparison--- What is there a problem with the math or what.

Muslims and atheist are both wrong. Different kind of wrong sure but both wrong from a Christian perspective. Are you complaining about being equated with a muslim? I thought we were all equal according to you guys.

I usually don't lie on people I think it's rude.Plus I am a heavy guy and doing so might restrict their ability to breath. If they are an atheist I want to keep them around as long as possible so they can come to know the love of Jesus Christ.

Here's a question for you: why do you think Christianity defends something like that? If they're really doing that, they're in the wrong; they probably do that because they've lost perspective and are just attacking atheism instead of arguing their own case.

Mostly people get defensive like that when they don't understand, and most Christian teaching is a kind of aggressive stance against the world (this is my experience anyway). I guess that's why I left the church. I still believe in God, but I don't need the church to help me there.

How do you know that he is a christian? Anyway, if he was, he isn't being very nice, and he shouldn't be ignorant! Not all christians are the same. Some are fakes, some are nice truthful people, and some are just christians.
