I have always been told growing up that babies and young children will automaticly go to heaven because they are too inocent to make a decision to believe in God, but I can't find it in the bible. Does anyone know where it says that?

That's fine if you don't believe it, but I don't care. Just want an answer to where it is, thanks.

One proof text is 2 Samuel 12:23 when David's son died as a baby David affirmed that he would see the child again (in heaven) but the child would not return to him.

1 Corinthians 7:14 pomises that children of at least one believing parent are sanctified by that parent who has faith.

I believe it is inconsistant with the nature of God to hold a child who does not have the mental capacity to know the difference between right and wrong accountable for wrong doing. Once a person has the ability to know the difference between right and wrong they are held accountable. And from the above Scrptures children of believing parents are ok under the faith of their parents until they are old enough to be held responsible for their actions.

I do not think it is there as such only that Jesus said unless you have faith as a young child you will not enter in. whether that is to say children naturaly have faith I do not know
I do think we are all born sinful ( selfish ) but at a very young age we can not understand that. so when we become responsible for out acctions is the question.

To my knowledge it does not directly say that.

But Jesus did talk alot about children. Here are some examples

Mat 18:3 and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye turn, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for to such belongeth the kingdom of heaven.

Mar 9:37 Whosoever shall receive one of such little children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever receiveth me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

Mar 10:24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:

There is no heaven. Dead babies and young children go to the same place as old people when they die, nowhere.

IT SAYS THAT NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE. IN FACT WHAT IT DOES SAY IS THAT THERE IS A FIRST RESURRECTION FOR THOSE WHO OBEY GOD NOW AND A SECOND RESURRECTION FOR ALL OTHERS INCLUDING BABIES WHO DO NOT NO CRHIST.
Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Joh 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
1ti 6:15 Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
1ti 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
Joh 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
1jo 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
1jo 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
BUT WHAT IS PROMISED BY GOD IS SO MUCH MORE EXCELENT AND GREAT THAN LOFTING UP TO HEAVEN
1jo 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Ga 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Ga 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Ga 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Ro 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Ro 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Ro 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Ro 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Ro 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Ro 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Re 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Re 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Re 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.
Joh 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
IN THE SECOND RESURRECTION ALL THOSE PEOPLE INCLUDING THE BABIES WHO HAD DIED THAT DID NOT KNOW CHRIST WILL BE GIVEN A CHANCE TO KNOW CHRIST WITH CHRIST ON THIS EARTH. WHAT A WONDERFUL PLAN THAT GOD AND JESUS CAME UP WITH TO DEFEAT SATAN. ALL PRAISE GOES TO GOD.
