Divorce was the best stress release I've ever known! But you're obviously not married yet, so I would turn to hallucinogenic drugs!! Kidding!! How about setting aside at least three hours every weekend to meditate, to read, to play tennis, to go for a long walk--exercise is always a good stress reliever. When none of that works, set aside some $50 every few months for a therapeutic lap dance at your local nudie bar!! Please try not to take college life and classes too seriously though! You want to get a good education, but you also want to remember it as a good experience, so don't accept the stress!! A few good friends can also bring you through just about anything as well!! Try to have some fun, my friend!!

Many people sit around and dwell on thier problems. Some turn thier worry and stress into unhealthy habits, like eating and drinking. Other people channel this energy into some thing usefull.
Try going to the gym, yoga, running, or walking as a physical way to work out your stress. Yoga and working out is a good way to avoid over eating, and vegging out in front of the TV. Running and walking outside give you time to yourself to sort your problems out logically.
If you prefer a mental stress reliever, try meditation, writing, or take up a hobby.
Meditation, like walking, allows you to sort your problems out logically. Meditation can also help you release your worry over things which you cannot control.
If you feel like you cannot get past your worry and stress to sort things out logically, then just start wrinting. Write anything. It does not matter. Just let things flow. If something enters into your head, write it down. Sometimes this can help you see what is really bothering you, or how you can fix it. This also give structure and organization to what can seem like endless problems.
if you want to use your stress towards something productive, you can start a hobby, or use your extra time to volunteer for a local charitable organization. Crocheting and embroidery are relatively cheap hobbies to begin, and free instructions can be found all over the net. If you choose to volunteer, I suggest the American Red Cross (ARC). You can volunteer to give blood, or staff a blood drive. You can check with your college for other volunteer oportunities.
Because you go to school, try joining one of the many clubs. There are many clubs that are free to join. You may find that you have a knack for board games, or ultimate frisbee.

You can relieve stress by reading a book. Borrow books from the library. Another way is to go for a brisk walk. Your minds relaxes, your body gets exercise and you get to contemplate on the things going on in your life. That seems to still help me relieve stress. Try it. It's free and you can do it anytime.

it isn't possible to remove stress, sadness and all kinds of negative emotions totally. These emotions are part of the meaning of being human, and at times they are even necessary. They only become a problem when we feel them constantly and lose the ability to handle them, the consequence of which is we feel "down" most of the time. Feelings are the result of thoughts. if thinking is positive, the resulting feeling is positive-if thoughts are negative, feelings are negative. the "secret" to replace bad feelings with good feelings is to modify the thoughts that precede the emotion. This may sound easy, but in reality it is not. Our thoughts frequently go unnoticed, we seldom stop to evaluate the things we tell ourselves. Plus, thoughts take place so quickly that we often find it hard to isolate them and see whether they are right or wrong. With the help and guidance of a professional therapist, best results can be achieved. Therefore, instead of trying to "look" happy on the outside, it's better for you to get help and actually feel happy on the inside. because when everything is ok on the inside, is shows on the outside too, and with no effort at all! :) Good luck

Read fiction books, taking a break from reality is crucial especially now, you have a long time to stress about things and just remember that your worrying about things don't make them go away or get any better! Things will be what they will be whether you worry about them or not! Tell your self you can't control everything!!! Take a deep breath and let it roll on!

Find a hypnotherapist in your area that provides a tape or cd with a stress reduction sesson...it is a life changing...how you perceive and how you react to stress situations will totally change. You will react with calm and confidence in all situations. It is the first session I do with all my clients..no matter what their issue is...It works miracles....It is that easy to reprogram the subconscious mind. Pick up a book at the bookstore on self hypnosis...

Yoga. I am an instructor now. I also used to be on anti-depressants, anti-anxiety pills, sleeping pills, and I would "get" ritalin to get thru the day. Glad that's over with. I really love my life, can manage my stress and have learned to control my own body/mind.

For me i would go out and exercise. Something very physical like running, swimming, boxing. Those are excellent for taking stress out. If your not into that try ceramics, seriously it works. Also listen to your favorite music.
