Excuse me, Fish, but you're wrong. Terror and religion have never, do not, and will never go hand in hand. What you see is terrorists justifying their horrible acts thru purposely made misinterpretations. In turn, they brainwash young kids, teens, and the weak with the same hogwash so that they think that they are dying for their religion. They are going to hell.
Take Bin Laden, for example: his organization sells drugs in Africa and the Middle East to fund his sick version of Islam(hich has nothing to do with Islam or its teachings), so he can spread his fear, terror, and ignorant ideologies. Everyone knows that drugs and alcohol are illegal under Islamic law...how come he sells to Muslims? Does that make sense?
If what you said is true...the Crusaders were terrorists, right?
Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him instructed his people before going to war "Do not cut any trees, do not burn any homes, do not kill any children, do not kill any women, do not kill any priests, do not burn ANY religious buildings do not kill any old people, and do not kill anyone whom does not fight you when you are in battle."
Well, who's left to kill? Only the armies, huh? Islam was known as the only reigion that also acknowledged the authenticity of both Judaism and Christianity...and it was the religion whose official greeting was "Al salamu 'alaikum warahmat Allahi wa barakatuhu"
(PEACE be upon you, and may the mercy of God and His blessings fall upon you.)
but unfortunately, a hypocrite and his cronies started a 'mafia' that ruined ths great religion's reputation, which is especially easy when there are many ignorant, naive people.
P.S.: Marcus, don't talk about what you don't know! Prophet Muhammad discouraged female circumcision....you and Fish are good examples of the ignorance which turns to hatred towards us. If i hit and kill a pedestrian with my car by mistake, the news will make it clear that I am a Saudi Muslim. When U.S. Marines rape an Iraqi woman, burn her, and kill her family, no one says Christian terrorist; all that happens is that it turns out he has anti-social personality disorder. Have we asked y'all to shut up about Bin Laden because he's probably a schizophrenic? When Israeli soldiers kill little kids, who says Jewish terrorists? NOT EVEN US! Even we give them the respect they don't deserve and say 'the Israeli army'. Bush, (who should be tried alongside Saddam as a war criminal and hypocrite who used WMDs on a country which he lied, saying that it had WMDs) says Israel has a right to defend itself...why can't we defend ourselves? Once that ****** Bush stops playing chess with the Middle East as the board, maybe, just maybe this B.S. will stop. At least then, we will have no excuse and I will be the 1st to call us terrorists.

My personal opinion is that the majority in America, and a minority in Europe were duped into hating the Muslims after 9/11. 9/11 was "allowed" to happen by our own government, in order to cast Muslims in a bad light. What I'm saying is that 9/11 could have been stopped. They had the intel, they knew what was being planned, Yet they refused to do anything. I'm not suggesting that someone in the Government has some sort of bias against Muslims, it's just that America needs an enemy. Having an enemy keeps half of all Americans scared or angry and the other half, guilty or feeling helpless. The population is easier to control under those circumstances. And in the mean time, the government gets to take over some new countries full of even more people to control, and the American people look the other way, because they're scared, or angry, or guilty, or feel helpless. This is the way a dictatorship works. Welcome to the land of the free.
And swifttouch, since your email isn't confirmed and I can't send you a response to the insulting email that you sent me, I'll post my response here:
>Subject: 9/11 was allowed by our own government?
>Message: You're a 1st class idiot. I'm sure Bush and his
>republican buddies got together and said. "Damn I hate this
>country! Let's bring it to its knees." You must read the New York
>times and listen to Howard Dean.
I've never read the New York Times, or listened to Howard Dean. I've come to this conclusion based on my own research. The New York Times is as biased as Fox News, just toward an opposite slant. And Howard Dean is just an odd ball. Bush and his buddies (some Republican, some Democrat, and some even Muslim, did you know that Saddam and Papa Bush used to play Golf together?) didn't come together to bring the country to it's knees, but rather, to allow a small part of it to be sacrificed so that they could make their empire larger. Do you really think that America (now I mean the whole thing) could be taken down by a rag-tag group in a third world government? If you do you have far less faith in your government, then your email implies.

The Catholic church has been waging for on Muslims for over 1,000 years. Americans are being brainwashed by the pope & other like minded frauds.
Muslims are no different than any other bible thumpers, some are good, some are bad, but most are somewhere in the middle.
I suppose the "Christian crusades" are just a figment of my imagination:
"The Crusades were a series of military campaigns—usually sanctioned by the Papacy—that took place during the 11th through 13th centuries. Originally, they were Roman Catholic Holy Wars to recapture Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the Muslims, but some were directed against other targets, such as the Albigensian Crusade against the Cathars of southern France, the Northern Crusades, and the Fourth Crusade which conquered Constantinople."
It appears the pope(s) has done a good job of keeping his servants ignorant.

Well, I'm a 'used to be' Muslim and I have to say some are good and some are bad, some are open-minded and some are very closed-minded. But like any other religion they want to protect their beliefs and make sure people are sticking to it, even though some beliefs might be outragious and really kinda of a "Yea right!" belief. But for being the second largest religion in the world with a book full of lies is kinda of a "well good for you, you brainwashed the world", which is exactly what they are doing. People don't turn or convert to Islam because they belive in it, NO! People become Muslim because others do one hell of a convincing them that Islam is the one true religion. I guess you can say they're the Islamic version of "Bible Thumpers!". But all and all, most Muslims are very bad people, that is if they're not closed-minded.

THE REASONS BEHIND 9/11
Having trouble convincing your friends and family that the U.S. government
is lying to us
and that the so-called
terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001 were actually
an inside job?
Here is the evidence you need to change
their minds!
You will read about:
• The lies our leaders told us
to cover up the crime.
• Arab terrorists didn’t hijack the planes.
• The Twin Towers didn’t collapse,
they exploded.
• Why evidence was destroyed
and suppressed.
• How the military let the attacks happen.
• Fake cellphone calls
and bogus box cutters.
• Foreknowledge made millions
for investors.
• No jetliner ever hit the Pentagon.
• The Patriot Act was ready and waiting for 9/11 and took away your freedom.
And other astonishing details of the most tragic day in American history in a story much more believable than the story the government has told us,
full of evidence that all points to
the need to indict U.S. leaders
for treason, mass murder,
and obstruction of justice

Government propaganda. The government wants people to go around scared so they won't focus on the real problem, which is the corrupt government. This is true in most countries. India has a long, long history of one religious group persecuting another, mostly,I believe for the reason stated. If the people hate each other, and focus on that, the real bad guys - not the Hindus or the Muslims or the Sikhs or whoever it is this week - the real bad guys, those corrupt fools in power are home free. PEOPLE, WAKE UP!!!!!

"Catholics are peaceful towards any religions." That's not entirely true. JT is right, most muslims are somewhere in the middle but some of them are extremists. Christians have fought a lot with muslims. Did everyone forget the Crusades? Recently it started again because of 9/11, Israel-Palestine conflict, India-Pakistan Kashmir conflict and many others.

Islamic morality is extremely costly for the little benefit it shows. It cares very little about the environment or the explosion of population. Indeed, Islamic clerics encourage rapid Islamic procreation. Mohammed told his followers to reproduce so Allah might boast about them over the nations. It might also be motivated by a will to out-reproduce non-Muslims and establish majorities. Islamic religious authorities remain silent in regard to honour killing and also female genital mutilation whilst these practices are still carried out in Islamic countries. One can hold Islamic authorities responsible for this. Had they been as active in issuing fatwa to combat these practices as they are in their eliminating dissidents, these practices would have become a thing of the past. Muslims have also little regard to the fate of minorities within their folds. Indeed, there is no concept of human rights in Islam even for Muslims. The most valued Muslim is the one who fights for Islam. That is why Islamic authorities and media are not concerned with victimisation of Muslims at the hand of other Muslims. Their outcry happens only when the victimisation is carried out by non-Muslims against Muslims, which is an indication of a cynical manipulation of the current concern with human right values, in the course of struggle for dominance. [7] In Kurdistan and Darfor the genocide and abuses that were committed by Muslims against other Muslims as well as non-Muslims did not arouse reactions of the Islamic masses and governments. On contrary, Arab and Islamic governments made a concerted effort in sending emissaries to Western capitals to contain the protesting voices here and there and to pre-empt any potential reactions by a Western government.
However, the most serious flaw in Islamic morality is the suppression of ideational challenge. Without this prohibition all other shortcomings might have been put right. What matters in political life is not what an ancient book or a modern political theory says. It is rather how the struggle for power among different individuals within the political system is resolved and how arbitration between different political ideas is carried out. Considering that such struggle is expressed usually through competition of different ideas, then the central issue which defines the political life of a system would be how arbitration among different ideas is conducted. Islam does not only respond with violence and threats of violence against its critics, it also disallows the moral decision making of its followers, as expected from the perspective of EPT. [8]

I think that 911 was a very big case, big enough to explain the outcry that you say. 911 was enough to cause a not very good will towards muslims. What else do you want ?
Ah, yes, the islams in Iraq are killing their own countrymen with bombs. That too.
Besides, the islams do not criticize the terrorists nor do anything to stop them

A misunderstanding... but no one is ignorant of WHAT happened... and why shouldn't people hate that?
The misunderstanding is that the people who did 9/11 were fanatics... but people in the general public just see it as all muslims.
I have yet to see a muslim speak out against what happened....... Their silence leads people to believe they support it.
