The ocean is more frightening. While both are very claustrophobic and dark, the rocket passenger enjoys majestic scenery of Earth, the Sun and the moon. But under the sea it gets too dark to see anything at certain depths. Also, there are creatures that could endanger you in the ocean, and even if the chance is small that something bad like that would happen, it would still be a frightening possibility. Besides, no gravity would be awesome!

I've been told they're strikingly similar. I'd guess they'd be the same. You can breathe in niether environment, so if your equipment fails, you'll never make it back to normal earth crust alive. They're both cold. Both very strange. Dark. Probably Lighter in space than at the bottom of the ocean. Atleast in an space shuttle you could survive a crash landing back to earth. Space exploration seems safer so I'd say Ocean exploration would be more frightening.

I’d have to say space in a rocket…
Why?
Well at least at the bottom of the ocean I know a few things that can go wrong, and I’ll know I’ll be crushed to death by the pressure down there and what not.

However, in space SO many things can go wrong!!! And there is nothing to come up to surface to like an ocean where I can bring the sub up for repairs LOL.
I mean something as little as a pebble could kill me in space if it hit me fast enough, I’m pretty sure we haven’t invented shields yet LOL. I’ll take more chances with exploring the deep for right now.
;-)

Now if you asked me if I’d still like to go to space, I’d still say H3ll ya I’d like to drift in 0 gravity that would BE AWSOME! I’ll just make sure that we’ll stay in the orbit of Earth so we can land when we need to LOL.

I guess the bottom of the ocean will be more frightening. There will be less fanfare than if you go to space and if anything go wrong, in space you are in full public view. You get to go in a blaze of glory. But at the bottom, no one is likely to notice you at all.

good question:) very creative.. i think exploring space in a rocket is more exciting and more frightening, bcuz if anything goes wrong, no one on earth can help u, unless he is in space with you. however, if ur in a submarine, then they can send anyone down there in seconds. and facts tell us that ur more likely to die in a space rocket rather than a submarine.

Both seem frightening, but absolutely amazing experiences to be able to have if given the opportunity. I would think that space would be more frightening just because who knows what's out there... more humans/aliens?

I would b e far more afraid of space travel. For some reason, I have no fear of water, which makes NO sense.
