Well, two things need to happen before it makes sense to have sex:
1. You need to make the move from mom and dad being the most important in your life, to her being the most important to you besides God.
2. You need to make a permanent, exclusive commitment to her.
See, if you have sex, that creates a bond so close that nothing should be allowed to interfere with it. You become one instead of two. If you break up afterward, it's like you leave a bit of yourself with her, and she with you.
Translation: Keep sex until marriage, and keep your relationship absolutely platonic until you are both sure you want a permanent relationship (i.e. are at very least engaged to be married).

Ryan, It is a matter of respect for yourself, If you both want to have a sexual relationship then you light years ahead of the rest of humanity and can ignore all the courtship taboos. Instead focus on developing that relationship into something meaningful. If you realize that that isn't what you want then why bother asking if you already know what you want.

Wow! Why don't you wait? If this "chick" really likes you, then sex can wait. And how about getting yourselves tested before doing anything sexually! If you don't care about having sexually transmitted diseases and/or aids, then go right ahead! Don't be so stupid.
