Because the name of Jesus is mighty and powerful, and it strikes fear in the deep places of the enemy, and then men always strike out at what they fear.
Be happy and rejoice, it is a good thing, and Jesus dont care what they say...

Firstly, every person has been given the opportunity to choose between right and wrong. There is one truth in this world and to say otherwise shows the ignorance of religion.
I, as a Muslim do not get offended when the name Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) is mentioned. Rather, we believe that worshipping him is wrong due to the fact that he is from the creation and not the Creator.
Also, you should note that the context you mention Jesus is not the context we mention Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). We do not worship him but he is our prophet & messenger just like Jesus.
I think your question should have noted these important factors.

Jesus was telling the truth. Satan hates that. That is why Satan motivated- Muhammad, Buddha, Joseph Smith, David Koresh, Ellen White , L. Ron Hubbard, Adolph Hitler, Rev.Jim Jones, Nimrod, and countless others, to go therefore and deceive as many as possible.
The fact that there is so much animosity regarding Jesus, suggests the sensitivity all people have towards the possibility they might have a greater responsibility than to just look after their own selfish interests.

I don't get angry when someone says Jesus. I do have a lot of respect for him but whenever someone says that Jesus is the only way and I should become a Christian, that makes me really angry. BTW, there are many people who get offended by Mohammed. I am ready to accept new ideas but I'm not ready to reject my original faith.

the god which we talk about does not belong to any religion. he is universal.people get offended by the name Jesus because u people have made it. they say that Jesus is the only god. i do agree that there is only one god. u call him Jesus. i accept. but when i call him Mohammad, Buddha, Rama or Krishna why don't u accept?why do u try to thrust your belief on others ? whoever tries to thrust their religion on others are degrading their own religion.it is a well known fact that some Christians try to force their religion on others.

People get offended when you mention Mohammed....people just want their religious leader to have a bigger d*ck than others. (pardon the reference but its the best I can come up with).

I'm not offended by the name...but I don't think he was a religious leader, much-less the son of God.

Jesus. The Man .The God.
Islam state he a prophet.
Christanity say he is Son of God.
Judaism say, he not God or prophet. He is Joesph's son, a carpenter.
When, we get people to discuss on this name. A common name.
People get offended. I supposed, there power to his name.
And his name imply that we are sinner and his death was to saved us.
People don't wan to be known as Sinner. They wan to be just as they are, without the tag of Sinner on their forehead.
Is hard for other to understand the Sinner Tag.
When there is mention of Jesus, people remember their dark sins. They are sick of it. And they will not understand the need to remove the sins is also by his name. " Who ever call on the name of the Lord will be saved"
I think, they rather not be saved and tag with the name sinner.
Power is in his name. Just as muslim say that pray respect to him, does not means they know him. They can say he did not die.
Therefore, all christian are still in death. This means to christian is that they are still dead and not alive and still tagged as sinner.
The Jews, they are having wars in middle eastern countries to deal with that.
Jesus. Mention his name, you think of cross, easter, sinner and death and sins. But how many people don't know is also means saved, glory and power.
That so sad.

maybe because if you refer to Jesus as a different kind of religious leader...it doesn't refer to Him as the Son of God, our Savior...in turn that minimizes the importance of who He is...if you call a red apple just an apple...it doesn't really define what it is...many Christians don't see Jesus as another religious leader, but the Son of God...
