Usually problems inside the cats' ears are ear mites. Visit http:// www. thepetcenter.com/gen/em.html, "Ear Mites in Cats and Dogs." Also visit http:// www. vetinfo.com/cearmites.html.
Your veterinarian can discuss this on the phone, and make an appointment to bring your cats in for an examination. The veterinarian may also have a home page where you can read cat care tips and create profiles for your cats.
"Ear mites in cats are one of the most commonly seen veterinary health care problems. Treating ear mites in cats has finally become a relatively easy experience now that veterinarians can prescribe safe and effective medications that do not require applications every other day for weeks. Caused by a little mite called Otodectes cynotis, the mites generally live along the surface of the ear canal, but can also be found on other areas of the body or in the environment. These mites can, but seldom do, infest humans. If present for long periods, hey can lead to serious ear difficulties in cats and dogs...." - The Pet Center site
The inside of the ears can be gently wiped from time to time with a cotton ball moistened with tap water. A veterinary technician can show you how.
Ear mite medication can be purchased from your vet. It is also available online at "1-800-PetMeds," http:// www. 1800petmeds.com/cat.asp?SP=cat&ST=ear+mites&AFFID=GG&ID=19229017

I am guessing that if the itching is on the outside of the ear, then it is either fleas or possibly ringworm, especially if all your cats have it. If it's on the inside of the ear, it is probably ear mites as has been stated earlier. You need to go to a vet. This is something you can not diagnose correctly in this group.

Could be ear mites and could be ear infection. They require different meds so go to the vet and find out for sure which it is.

Take your cat to the vet where a special cone shaped device will be placed around it's head to keep it from scatching while the meds work.

Possibly ear mites or fleas. A vet would be a good step, or medication.
