Don't use the bible, or any other story, give me factual evidence-i.e. a scientific explanation, don't say faith, don't say "just believe", seriously prove it-I don't think you can

LOL notice the current two answers haven't proven anything except their blind and foolish faith

also, science doesn't rely on "not proving things"-i.e., THERE COULD BE A UNICORN, isn't the same as there is a unicorn-I can prove there are trees, i can prove there are dogs, i can prove that there is me-YOU CANNOT PROVE GOD

Yes, Love can be explained-it's a chemical reaction in your Brain, why can't Nature in and of itself be so powerful, why does there have to be a "CREATOR" because as humans, you crave a supernatural being, when in reality, there is nothing more than a book, and the stuff you've been fed

Good and Evil, just like GOD is a word, created by Human Beings, to explain things-these are concepts we have developed as we have evolved and learned to reason (but according to several of these one word, or definate answers, not many people have...)

You didn't like my first proof? Fine, here's better proof!

Proof that the Christian god exists:

(1) Doesn't it just make more sense that an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-good deity created the world out of nothingness, from magic, essentially, and then punished us for eating a piece of fruit, and then incarnated himself in human flesh and came down to shed his own blood so he could break his own rules, and then went through hell on a temporary basis and then went back into the sky and promised to come back and take everyone who believed in him to this heaven no one has ever seen?
(2) Well, doesn't it?
(3) Therefore, God exists.

I will. You did it for yourself in your question.
A god is something you worship. If you worship something then you will allow it to influence the way you think and behave and talk. It could be Buddha or Allah or Jesus or a lump of carved wood or a pop group or a motor car or a book or a movie character or movie star. Do you sometimes say "AAAAAA" like the Fonz? Do you follow a sports team, maybe the Los Angles Lakers; or a Formula one team like Red Bull Racing? Do you watch CSI? Do you find yourself looking for small details in things like scratches on a new car? These are all gods which influence your life.
I can't prove that something influences your behaviour because I don't know you or how you live your life, only you know that.
But the fact you expect me to prove it immediately ("Prove to me right now ....") rather than you investigate it for yourself shows the influence of a god of some sort, maybe Haeckel, rather than your own inquisitive nature.
You were influenced by someone else to ask this question, maybe a friend as a dare. "give me factual evidence" shows the influence of someone who themselves doesn't believe in God, that person influenced your attitudes and behaviour and reasoning, in which case they are a god. "Any god anywhere" means you are happy with any proof whatsoever as long as it doesn't expect you to use "faith" or the "Bible", this is another influence, another god.
The fact you say "factual scientific evidence" says you've been influenced by a teacher at school. This teacher is now a god to you.
The Bible asks for two witness' to prove something. I have shown more than two people who influenced you from your own question.
Case Proved!!!

A mouse trap is built of a few small and very simple parts. Toss them all into a room with perfect conditions for the existence of a mousetrap (whatever that might be?). Now, wait as long as you want to and what do you have? Nothing, just a bunch of parts that could make a mousetrap is some intelligence from a Creator were added. Similarly, look at the world. In the world, we have all the elements that compose all forms of life. Now, decompose all life and the elements sit there... forever... with no intervention. What do you get? NOTHING but a bunch of elements.

There's a certain level of simplicity that anything can be broken into. Beyond that point, there MUST be some intelligent force behind the item's existance, or it will never come into a fullness of existence. So, no matter what human ingredients you might have, they won't work without God's breath of life.

And if you think that's crazy, then think about how complicated an atom is... protons, neutrons, electrons: very, very tiny parts with LOTS of space between them, but somehow they come together to form solid matter. Even more detailed... the protons and neutrons are made up of smaller particles, which are made up of even SMALLER particles.... all of them PERFECLTY placed and arranged how they were designed to be. You honestly think that happened on its own? If so, then your faith in accidents is even stronger than my faith in God!

Would that somebody could. But it seems the whole idea of believing in God is to have faith, and not have to be shown proof. Why should anyone have to have faith if there is proof? That would be cheating.

It doesn't make sense for any mere mortal say there HAS to be a plan, intelligence CANNOT happen by chance, the universe CAN'T randomly fall into place so perfectly, therefore there MUST be a Creator or Intelligent Design or any other some such Cause. Just because someone says that and believes that doesn't make it true. Of course, one is allowed to believe what one wishes, but it doesn't make others' beliefs any less valid.

Gimme a break, man. Prove to me He doesn't exist. I don't think YOU can. This is a stupid question. Oh, yeah, right. It isn't even a question.

All I'm saying is that there are some things that science has yet to be able to prove, one way or the other. The existence of God is one of them. And just because we don't fully understand something doesn't mean that we can automatically rule out its existence.

What I would really like to know is why do so many people come on here and ask over and over for someone to prove God exists. If you don't believe in God, why not leave it at that. There are plenty of other things you could be asking someone to prove, like if aliens exist, or ghosts, or magic. I just wonder what the big fascination is, if you really don't believe in God. Why not move on to other things that you do believe in. Don't you have a hobby or something?

You can't get a scientific explanation for the existence of God. The question is wrongly stated because you don't know what science is. Science only deals with things that are all:

1. Observable
2. Controllable
3. Repeatable

If any of this is missing then science has nothing to do with it. Find a good science book (I suggest Brocas Brain: Reflections on the Romance of Science by Carl Sagan)

This means that all things meta-physical are not the domain of science.

Is logic ok? It is scientifically observable that we are surrounded by the laws of nature. What makes them true? It depends on the law, naturally, so try gravity; we're not sure exactly how, some say gravity is the distortion of the time-space fabric, others say it's through the exchange of particles, but SOMEthing makes it work. Next up: what makes the laws responsible for gravity true? Another scientifically explainable reason. But, eventually, there must be a truth that doesn't depend on any other. This is pure, clean logic; if the truths we observe depend upon someting other than themselves, than somewhere, there has to be one fixed truth, that owes its existence to nothin but itself. How something like that exists at all is a mystery, but its existence is plain because, thanks to the laws of nature, we exist. What we call existence, for all we know, could just be a mass illusion, like the Matrix; but, we do know, at least, that we exist, because we can think. We think, therefore we are. Now, this one truth at the top of all the others, it must be intelligent. The reason's simple; it definitely has attributes and a nature of its own, tha's just part of the definition of existing. So, if it depends on nothing else, being at the top of all truths, how did it get its attributes and nature? In absence of something to give it to them, there's only one remaining option: it intended to be the way it was. Sounds weird, but as Sherlock Holmes said, when all other possibilities are eliminated, we have no choice but to accept the remaining one, no matter how unlikely. If this truth had intent, it had intelligence; this intelligence, the source of all truths, ergo all existence, is what Christians worship, not to mention, arguably, the Jews (as a religion) and Muslims.

Scared of you!!! What happens if there is a God and He wants to prove to you that He exists? What if He did it by striking you with lightning. Are you really looking for answers? Or are you just trying to piss people off? Either way, it's still a choice you have to make for yourself.

"A man who was merely a man and said the things Jesus said wouldn't be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic on the level of a man who says he is a poached egg, or else he would be the devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this was and is the Son of God or else a mad man or something worse. You can shut Him up for a demon or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God but don't let us come up with any patronizing nonsense about Him being a great moral teacher – He hasn't left that alternative open."

If you need scientific proof that god(s) exist, then you are missing the whole point of believing in god(s). We believe because we want to believe and because it gives us a sense of belonging and purpose. If NOT believing in God or gods makes you happy, then do whatever works for you. But, as far as science goes, how was the universe created without God or a godforce? You can give me the big bang theory, but where did the material come from that started the bang if not created by God or a godforce?

God created man in His image so...look to your friends and family.

All things created denote that there is a God.

If you're asking for physical proof than why not temp Him to come down and show Himself. Perhaps you too will be smitten and die an ignominious death.

You no more can prove there is NOT a God than I can prove that there IS one.

Search the universe over from top to bottom, on every plane of existance, simultaneously, and then tell me if God doesn't exist.

You breath and walk and talk. Your heart pumps. You have a supremely complex biological structure - you think "it just growed there by axident"? I mean the energy alone required to power our little solar system - it's collossal. Isn't that worthy of the title god? Isn't it possible that that little piece of energy in us that makes us walk and talk is divine spirit - not a person, but certainly all creative, whatever it is.

I mean if there is one thing we can all agree on it's energy right? Energy forms and creates mass and everything. Why not call that god? Certainly we can all see that that is all science and religion are trying to do - solve the mysteries of life, know the unknowable, figure out what that energy is and how to harness it (whether to power a city or to answer a prayer).

Peace!
